Anthem Update Adjusts Grandmaster Loot Drops

In an effort to change loot drops in Anthem for the better, BioWare has officially increased the rate of masterwork and legendary drops.

In a post on the official Anthem Reddit, global community lead Andrew Johnson announced that an update has gone live that increases masterwork and legendary drop rates for grandmaster 2 and grandmaster 3 difficulty levels. These drop rates have also been increased for harder enemies at all difficulty levels, including the Legendary Titan, Epic Titan, Legendary Fury, Legendary Acid Ursix and Legendary Luminary Elder. As this is a server-side update, no downloads or patches will be necessary to see these changes take hold.

Valve Removes Steam Tributes to Suspected New Zealand Shooter

Following this morning’s terrorist attack of two New Zealand mosques which resulted in the deaths of at least 49 people, Valve has been continuously removing tributes that various Steam users have been making to the suspected shooter.

Reported by Kotaku, Valve has cracked down on over 100 Steam profiles that have been memorializing the suspected shooter following the attack. These tributes often incorporated his alleged name into their profiles, and uploaded user images of the suspected shooter as well as screenshots from a Facebook livestream of the shooting. Other tributes referred to the suspected shooter as a saint or hero, or used derogatory language in reference to his victims.

Halo: Former Director Reveals His Vision for Showtime Series

Though planning for Showtime's planned Halo TV series is officially underway, with production expected to start later in 2019, the long-in-development project had a recent key staffing turnover when attached director Rupert Wyatt, best known for directing Rise of the Planet of the Apes, departed the project in December 2018 and was later replaced by Robin Hood and Black Mirror helmer Otto Bathurst.

Though he's now off the project, Wyatt had previously been deeply involved with Halo as both director and executive producer, and still has a lot of emotional investment in the series. IGN caught up with Wyatt at SXSW while he was promoting his new movie Captive State and chatted about what would have been had he stayed on Halo.

James Gunn Breaks Twitter Silence After GotG Vol. 3 Rehiring

James Gunn took to Twitter following the news that Disney rehired him to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, sharing an emotional message with his fans.

Guardians 3 or Suicide Squad 2: Which Should James Gunn Direct First?

The surprising word came today that writer-director James Gunn has been rehired by Disney to direct Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Gunn was fired from the project last summer after a Twitter scandal regarding old tweets of his resurfaced, but now the filmmaker is back at the helm of the franchise he has overseen from its start.

The thing is, Gunn also has another superhero project in the works, and one from the Direct Competition -- DC's Suicide Squad sequel at Warner Bros. In the time between Gunn's firing and rehiring by Disney, he was reportedly a wanted commodity at other studios, and he wound up taking the job on Suicide Squad 2 as writer-director, with an eye to retooling the franchise with mostly new characters and cast. Will Smith opted to not return for the film as Deadshot, and recently reports indicated that Idris Elba is in talks to replace him in the role.

Lori Loughlin Reportedly Not Returning to Fuller House After Scandal

Lori Loughlin will reportedly not return for the fifth and final season of Fuller House as Aunt Becky following her public college admissions scandal.

Per Deadline, a source close to the situation said "She’s toast, it’s over” in regards to her tenure on the Netflix show.

Earlier today, Loughlin was also reportedly cut from the Hallmark Channel, with a representative from Crown Media allegedly stating "We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including Garage Sale Mysteries, an independent third-party production."
