Pokemon Cinematic Universe a Possibility After Detective Pikachu

The upcoming movie Pokemon: Detective Pikachu could be the start of a live-action Pokemon Cinematic Universe, according to Legendary Entertainment producer Ali Mendes.

While on a visit to the Detective Pikachu movie set outside London last year, IGN and a small group of press talked to Mendes about the possibility of expanding the live-action Pokemon world beyond Detective Pikachu.

such a rich universe. There are so many ways you can go inside of it. We're trying to get the first movie right, and then once we've done that, we'll see where we go from there, but absolutely. There are a lot of opportunities,” Mendes said.

While Mendes gave a reserved answer, it shows Legendary has clearly thought about how far they can go from here. After all, the big studios are all chasing the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and even though superheroes seem like a natural fit for this concept, Pokemon is an expansive franchise with a rich, interconnected world with lots of popular characters, not unlike Marvel.

James Gunn’s Suicide Squad Is a Reboot Called The Suicide Squad

DCEU producer Peter Safran has confirmed that James Gunn’s Suicide Squad film will be a “total reboot" called The Suicide Squad instead of Suicide Squad 2.

In an interview with JoBlo, Peter Safran, who acted as producer for Aquaman and the upcoming Shazam!, confirmed this information. When asked if fans should be excited for Suicide Squad 2, Safran said "First of all, we don’t call it Suicide Squad 2 ‘cause it’s a total reboot, so it’s The Suicide Squad and I think people should be extremely excited about it. It’s everything you would hope from a James Gunn script and I think that says a lot and that promises a lot and I know that we will deliver a lot."

Gambit Joins Marvel’s Wolverine Podcast for Season 2

Way back in November IGN was among a group of media outlets invited to Stitcher Radio’s New York studios for a roundtable discussion with the cast and producers of the upcoming scripted podcast Wolverine: The Lost Trail, the sophomore follow-up to the internet radio company’s well-regarded 2018 collaboration with Marvel, Wolverine: The Long Night.

The Long Night, the series' first season, was primarily told from the perspective of two Men in Black-style government agents as they interviewed civilians and teamed with local law enforcement to track down a mysterious loner named Logan who happened to appear in the small fishing town of Burns, Alaska, just as a series of grisly murders began to unfold. Logan himself, played by Richard Armitage (The Hobbit films’ Thorin Oakenshield), was barely heard from in many of the 10 episodes comprising Season 1, but that won’t be the case in Season 2. In the Lost Trail, the story is set to be viewed -- or rather, heard -- from Logan’s perspective, following him on his journey through a locale that was only hinted at in the first season.

Preorder the Newest Fortnite TS Nerf Blaster Right Now

A new Fortnite Nerf blaster is coming later this year. The Fortnite TS Nerf Blaster will be available June 1, and is based on the design of the tactical shotgun in Fortnite right down to the color scheme.

The Fortnite TS blaster fires Nerf Mega Darts. If you're unfamiliar with Mega Darts, they're chunkier, heavier versions of the darts you're probably used to. In spite of their larger size, they're still able to fly far, fast, and true.

Nerf's pump-action Fortnite TS holds 4 Mega Darts in the clip, and comes with 8 total, so you can reload on the go as you work towards a real-life Nerf victory royale.

Fortnite and Nerf is an obvious, and excellent, pairing, but Nerf's not the only toy blaster to get the Fortnite treatment. In addition to a line of Fortnite-inspired Nerf blasters, there are also Fortnite Supersoakers, to help make the summer months more enjoyable.
