We Saw 30 Minutes of Bloodlines 2
Fifteen years is a long time. We’ve gone through three presidents, ten iPhones, and games - both in terms of story and design - have evolved by leaps and bounds. When I learned that Paradox was working with Hardsuit Labs on a follow-up to 2004’s Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, I was surprised and more than a little intrigued. I got to see a lengthy live demo of the game and speak to some of its creative team before its reveal at GDC 2019, and I was thrilled to see that Bloodlines 2 looks like it might give even the biggest, most anticipated RPGs of the next few years a run for their money.
Star Wars: It Looks Like Taika Waititi Is IG-88 in The Mandalorian
It looks like Taika Waititi, director of Thor: Ragnarok, is voicing the assassin droid IG-88 in the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars show The Mandalorian.
Series producer Jon Favreau posted a photo on Instagram of Waititi in front of a series of microphones and what appears to be footage of IG-88 in The Mandalorian, highly suggesting Waititi will voice the droid. A red and gold Mandalorian helmet is also hanging out in the studio for no apparent reason.

New Avengers Group Selfie Shows Cast Ready to Kill Thanos
The ending of Avengers: Infinity War left all of us feeling very strong emotions. We were sad, we were angry, we were in desperate need of vengeance for what Thanos had done.
Fast forward almost a year later, and we're finally about to get what we wanted all along, complete with an all-new, all-powerful cosmic Avenger in tow. And, if the adorable group selfie posted by Jeremy Renner and the rest of the Avengers: Endgame gang on Instagram serves as any indication, Marvel's finest heroes are ready to see Thanos get his, too.
Google Exec on Stadia’s Internet Speed Requirements
Since the Google Stadia reveal event earlier this week, we've learned both what Stadia's specs are, as well as the internet requirements necessary for players to enjoy Stadia.
In speaking with Google's Phil Harrison following the Stadia announcement, I asked him about whether Google had concerns about how many players could access Stadia given internet speed requirements and the wildly different speeds of internet available throughout the world.

Disney-Fox Merger Results in Massive Layoffs
Disney's $71.3 billion acquisition of News Corp.’s 21st Century Fox film assets will make it the most powerful movie studio ever, but it's also causing a lot of people to lose their jobs.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, "analysts say that by the time the dust settles, 4,000 of the jobs the conglomerate provides could be lost. Disney-skeptic analyst Rich Greenfield of BTIG even put the number at 5,000 to 10,000 over a longer time frame."

Avengers: Endgame Plot Synopsis Might Reveal More Than You Thought
Marvel Studios has revealed the plot synopsis for Avengers: Endgame, and while it may seem to tell us information we already knew, certain word choices actually allude to some key plot points concerning big deaths and a rematch with a certain purple titan.
Warning: we’re about to read way too much into this plot synopsis!
The plot synopsis reads, “The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame."
Emilia Clarke Survived Two Brain Aneurysms During Game of Thrones
Emilia Clarke, best known for portraying Daenerys Targaryen, survived two rounds of brain surgeries while filming the early seasons of Game of Thrones.
Clarke revealed this information in a personal essay published by The New Yorker, where she described the events that could have ended her life. After filming of the first season of Game of Thrones, Clarke was exercising at a gym when she suddenly became ill.
"I reached the toilet, sank to my knees, and proceeded to be violently, voluminously ill,” said Clarke. "Meanwhile, the pain—shooting, stabbing, constricting pain—was getting worse. At some level, I knew what was happening: my brain was damaged... To keep my memory alive, I tried to recall, among other things, some lines from Game of Thrones."
Valve Reveals Steam Library Update, New Events Feature
Valve's next big updates to Steam are a new events feature and a formal landing page for user's game libraries with an overall redesign, Valve announced at GDC 2019.
“A lot of the emphasis of the things we’re working on right now in terms of features for both developers and customers are really for the way games are being built and played today,” Valve UI designer Alden Kroll said. “So, more live service games that need better communication channels with their players, for example.”
That communication channel comes in the form of Steam’s new events page, which you can see in the slideshow below. Events are categorized by major and minor events and show things like broadcasts, big game updates, tournaments, and even things like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s weekly challenges. Event information can show up on things like game wishlist notifications. Kroll said this will help give context to why recommended games are relevant.
