Sony Announces State of Play Livestream, Will Announce New Games March 25
Sony has announced State of Play: a series of live broadcasts that will reveal new updates and announcements for PS4 and PS VR games. The first episode will be shown March 25.
The announcement was posted to the PlayStation Blog today, and explains that the debut episode will be broadcast at 2:00pm PT on Monday, March 25. That’s 5:00pm for anyone on Eastern Time, 9:00pm for those in the UK, and 7:00am on Tuesday morning for those on Australia East Coast.
The blog details that the first State of Play episode will show new trailers, footage, and game announcements for both PlayStation 4 and PS VR games. Effectively, it appears to be Sony’s equivalent to Nintendo Direct, and with any luck it will be just as revealing.
Apex Legends Has Removed a Favourite Camping Spot From Bunker
Despite being absent from the patch notes, Respawn has stealthily rolled out map changes in the Bunker location that will stop players from camping.
Spotted by Twitter user PlayApexESP (via GamesRadar+), the Season 1 update appears to have removed the air con units from above the doors, which acted as handy perch for a one or two players to rain down shots from on high, or for Caustic mains to watch their noxious traps take effect on their victims below.
You can check out where the camping spots used to be in acuriousfeline's tweet below:

Overwatch May Feature a Pick and Ban System in the Future
Blizzard has considered the possibility of a pick and ban system for Overwatch, should the character roster become too unwieldy.
Talking at a Q&A attended by GameSpot, lead hero designer Geoff Goodman said, “We talk a decent amount about
--that, and what's paired a lot with it is hero bans, hero picks, things like that because they're both kind of related to roster size.”
Pick and ban systems are most commonly used by MOBAs such as League of Legends and Dota 2, but are applicable for any game sporting a selection of heroes with special abilities. Such a system allows opposing teams to ban certain characters from being picked at the start of a match, which is handy for denying a hard counter to a character your team plans to play. The system is typically only used for ranked/competitive matches. In the world of shooters, this system has most recently been adopted by Rainbow Six Siege.

We Saw 30 Minutes of Bloodlines 2
Fifteen years is a long time. We’ve gone through three presidents, ten iPhones, and games - both in terms of story and design - have evolved by leaps and bounds. When I learned that Paradox was working with Hardsuit Labs on a follow-up to 2004’s Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, I was surprised and more than a little intrigued. I got to see a lengthy live demo of the game and speak to some of its creative team before its reveal at GDC 2019, and I was thrilled to see that Bloodlines 2 looks like it might give even the biggest, most anticipated RPGs of the next few years a run for their money.
Star Wars: It Looks Like Taika Waititi Is IG-88 in The Mandalorian
It looks like Taika Waititi, director of Thor: Ragnarok, is voicing the assassin droid IG-88 in the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars show The Mandalorian.
Series producer Jon Favreau posted a photo on Instagram of Waititi in front of a series of microphones and what appears to be footage of IG-88 in The Mandalorian, highly suggesting Waititi will voice the droid. A red and gold Mandalorian helmet is also hanging out in the studio for no apparent reason.
New Avengers Group Selfie Shows Cast Ready to Kill Thanos
The ending of Avengers: Infinity War left all of us feeling very strong emotions. We were sad, we were angry, we were in desperate need of vengeance for what Thanos had done.
Fast forward almost a year later, and we're finally about to get what we wanted all along, complete with an all-new, all-powerful cosmic Avenger in tow. And, if the adorable group selfie posted by Jeremy Renner and the rest of the Avengers: Endgame gang on Instagram serves as any indication, Marvel's finest heroes are ready to see Thanos get his, too.
Google Exec on Stadia’s Internet Speed Requirements
Since the Google Stadia reveal event earlier this week, we've learned both what Stadia's specs are, as well as the internet requirements necessary for players to enjoy Stadia.
In speaking with Google's Phil Harrison following the Stadia announcement, I asked him about whether Google had concerns about how many players could access Stadia given internet speed requirements and the wildly different speeds of internet available throughout the world.
