So you're thinking about picking up the Samsung Galaxy S10, eh? How Nintendo Switch Is Becoming the Best Place for New Games
There’s been a massive wave of indie love and support for the Nintendo Switch. Everyone wants every game to come to Switch, and that desire is shared by many of the game developers out there making them as well. But the Switch didn’t just stumble into being one of the best places for new games – we spoke to a number of the indie devs showcased in this week’s Nindie Direct, and all of them gave credit to Nintendo itself for putting in the effort to make it that way.
If you ask Kirk Scott, Nintendo of America’s Manager of Publisher-Developer Relations (and all-around Nindie guy), you wouldn’t think what they are doing is such a big deal. “I think what Nintendo is doing specifically to support the indie devs is just making ourselves more available,” Scott told me. When you put it that way, it sounds simple, but Scott explained that they have a whole team dedicated to finding, elevating, and supporting great indie games – and the active support they provide is, in reality, a very big deal.
Microsoft Announces Indie Showcase Stream, Starting March 26
Microsoft has announced ID@Xbox Game Pass; a new series of livestreams to showcase indie games coming to Xbox Game Pass. The first broadcast will be on Tuesday, March 26.
Announced on the Xbox Wire blog, the first episode will premiere at 9:00am PT (12:00 ET, 04:00pm UK, 02:00am AEST), and offer new dives into After Party, Void Bastards, and Supermarket Shriek.
There will also be a behind-the-scenes element to the stream, with a segment featuring Afterparty and Oxenfree developer Night School Studio.
The blog posts promises new reveals, gameplay highlights, and conversations with developers.
John Wick: Chapter 3 Will Explore John Wick’s Backstory
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum will dig deeper into the mythology of the world of John Wick, and reveal the more about the man behind the gun.
IGN exclusively visited the set of the third installment of the John Wick franchise where we learned how Parabellum will offer us the long-awaited origin story of the title character. Hellboy Characters Will Be Added to Brawlhalla Next Month
In celebration of the upcoming Hellboy film, Ubisoft has announced that it has partnered with Lionsgate and Millennium Media to bring Hellboy, Nimue, Gruagach, and Ben Daimio to Brawlhalla, its free-to-play platform fighting game.
These characters from Hellboy will be new guest characters that will be joining a roster of over 40 characters that also features Rayman, which was made possible after Ubisoft purchased Brawlhalla developer Blue Mammoth Games last year.
Hellboy, created by Mike Mignola, is being adapted once again into a feature film and will see "the legendary half-demon superhero called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants."
‘Absolute Carnage’ Unleashes Spider-Man’s Deadliest Foe on the Marvel Universe
Marvel Comics started off its C2E2 announcements with a bang, revealing a new crossover event called Absolute Carnage. This story will put Spider-Man's most deadly foe in the spotlight, as Cletus Kasady hunts down every person who's ever been bonded with a symbiote.
Absolute Carnage will be handled by the current Venom creative team - writer Donny Cates, artist Ryan Stegman and colorist Frank Martin. The story will unfold in a four-issue Absolute Carnage miniseries, which begins in August 2019.

Judgment Actor Replaced for Western Release, Still Launching June 25
Judgment, the next game from the developers of the Yakuza franchise, will have the character model and Japanese voice of Kyohei Hamura adjusted for the Western release following the arrest of the character's voice actor for alleged drug use, but the release date will not change.
Announced by SEGA, this change does not appear to affect Judgment's Western release date of June 25, 2019 on PlayStation 4. Judgment was released in Japan on December 13, 2018.
SEGA has also announced that all screenshots and trailers featuring Hamura have been temporarily removed from its official channels and it will be updating these and bringing them back in the future.
Cyberpunk 2077 And One Other CD Project Red Game Will Release by 2021
The release window for CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 has narrowed slightly, with the studio confirming the release of two AAA games by 2021.
GamesRadar+ reports that the news comes via a forum post in which the developer states that both Cyberpunk 2077 and a new, unannounced title will debut within the next two years.
Control Gets a Release Date
Alan Wake and Quantum Break developer Remedy Entertainment's next game, Control, now has an official release date.
Control's release date was first seen on Microsoft's Xbox store as it appeared to be published early, and now Remedy has confirmed to Eurogamer that Control will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 27, 2019.
Control will be the first Remedy multiplatform title since Max Payne 2 and puts players in the shoes of Jesse Faden, who was recently given the title of director of the Federal Bureau of Control.
