Epic Would End Exclusivity Deals If Steam Changes Revenue Share

Epic Games founder and CEO Tim Sweeney has said that he would stop making Epic Games Store exclusivity deals if Steam offered developers and publishers a permanent 88% revenue share.

Talking in a thread on Twitter regarding revenue and the cut taken by stores, Sweeney defended Epic’s process, explaining that the company’s 12% cut from game profits was a significant and important improvement on the 30% that Valve take from sales on the Steam Store. That large cut is “the #1 problem for PC developers, publishers, and everyone who relies on those businesses for their livelihood” according to Sweeny.

Sacrifice Has Always Been Captain America’s Greatest Weapon

Today we conclude our look at each of the founding MCU Avengers and how their stories have led them to their final confrontation with Thanos. Here’s Captain America and his journey to Avengers: Endgame.

“What makes you happy?”

Steve Rogers doesn’t know how to answer this question when it’s posed to him by Sam Wilson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The thing is, we know the answer even if Steve is facing a crisis of doubt at the time. Captain America lives to make the world better for the rest of us, and far too often that means he has to make personal sacrifices with far-reaching effects on his life. And he’s O.K. with that.

That’s because Cap is a truly selfless hero, and we’re lucky to have him as a paragon of what’s good in a particularly selfish moment in our history. In an era of party over country and me over us, Captain America should remind everyone of what really matters.

How Men In Black: International Rebuilds the DNA of the Series

Men In Black’s always had a recognisable visual DNA. No matter the plot, you’re always going to see sharp suits, shiny guns, idiosyncratic set design and a whole mess of aliens. During a visit to the set of the upcoming MiB: International, I discovered that, two decades on from the original and with an almost entirely new cast and crew, that rule still holds true.

But what was interesting to me was finding out how just how much thought had gone into those seemingly static elements. Here’s how International is aiming to update the core elements of Men in Black without losing its original feel.

Sets

The sets are perhaps the best marker of what the team’s trying to achieve with MiB: International - recognisably grabbing from the old films, but adding new twists to prove that this is a spin-off, not a rehash.
