Ubisoft Cancels Plans to Increase the Division 2’s Gear Score Cap
Ubisoft has announced that it is cancelling plans to increase The Division 2’s Gear Score cap in the wake of feedback from players.
Title Update 3, which will launch later this month, was originally set to increase the game’s Gear Score limit from 500 to 515, with new higher score items added to the game.
However, feedback from players suggested this would be a bad move. The increase would make all high-tier character builds obsolete, and immediately outdate all level 500 weapons and items. With the Raid due to go live shortly, it would mean all efforts by players to upgrade characters to max Gear Score level in preparation would be undone.
“We don't want to invalidate your progression and we heard that feedback loud and clear from our community. Your gear and your builds are important to you and to us,” Ubisoft said in an update on The Division 2 website.

Sega To Acquire Two Point Hospital Developer Two Point Studios
Sega has acquired Two Point Studios as part of its Searchlight initiative.
Two Point Studios developed and released Two Point Hospital last year, with Sega on publishing duties. But the new deal sees the small Brititish studio brought into the Sega stable of developers, which also includes Sports Interactive, Relic Entertainment, and Creative Assembly.
Two Point Hospital is set in the fictional area of Two Point County, and the studio intends for a franchise of simulation games to take place in the same world. Sega says that Two Point Studios has multiple unannounced titles in development due to be revealed in the coming months, and so it seems sensible to expect more Two Point-branded games.

Fortnite Season 9 Patch Notes and Details Revealed
Epic Games has released patch Notes for Fortnite v9.00, which includes details on Fortnite Season 9 and its new locations, features and more.
Fortnite’s Season 9 battle pass is available now for 950 v-bucks ($9.50) and includes 100 levels and over 100 new rewards. New points of interest that have emerged from the destruction of the Volcano include Neo Tilted and Mega Mall. A semi-automatic Combat Shotgun has been added that holds 10 shells, fires nine pellets per shot, and has a tight spread and fast fire rate.
One of the biggest new features from v9.00 are Slipstreams, a wind transportation system consisting of wind tunnels that quickly carry players. Players move faster in the stream, and can use directional input to gain extra velocity, which includes bobbing up and down to increase speeds. Players are then launched out of the stream when exiting based on their movement speed and exit angle, and projectiles and vehicles can also enter the Slipstream. In addition to this, air vents are new environmental items that launch players and grant immunity to fall damage.

It's accompanied by text which reads "See you in another dimension" followed by the peace fingers and spider emoji.

EA to Change Development and Release Strategy in Wake of Anthem Troubles
After Anthem, EA's latest big release that failed to live up to expectations, the company is planning to make changes to its development and release strategy.
PC Gamer reports that EA's CEO Andrew Wilson talked about some of the problems faced in the industry when it comes to developing huge games like Anthem during the company's latest financial results conference call.
"The reality is, it's not just an EA challenge, it's an industry-wide challenge," said Wilson. "You're moving from what was initially a BioWare game which would be somewhere between 40 and 80 hours of offline play to 40 to 80 hours of offline play plus 100 or 200, 300 hours of elder game that happens with millions of other players at scale, online."
