7 New Pokemon Revealed, Including Sword and Shield Legendaries

Today's Pokemon Direct saw the introduction of 7 new creatures, including Pokemon Sword and Shield's respective legendaries.

As speculated after the game's reveal, the two legendaries are sword and shield-wielding wolves. Check them all out in the gallery below - and there's a full list with descriptions below:

  • Zacian - A wolf-like legendary Pokemon. Zacian attacks so gracefully that its movements can even captivate its opponents. It holds what appears to be a sword in its mouth.
  • Zamazenta - Another legendary wolf, Zamazenta’s regal and majestic movements overwhelm any opponents that dare face it. Its body is covered in what seems to be a shield.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Release Date Confirmed

Today's Pokemon Direct announced the release date for Pokemon Sword and Shield as November 15, 2019.

Sword and Shield are the next core RPG games in the Pokemon series, and the Direct presentation revealed a variety of new features coming to the game, including online Max Raid Battles, where four players join together to defeat supersize Pokemon known as Dynamax. There is also a new, open-world style zone called the Wild Area, which stretches between cities and is home to a variety of wild Pokemon.

Naturally, there are also many new Pokemon coming to the game, including two new legendary wolf-style Pokemon representing the Sword and Shield sides of the game.

Trover Saves the Universe Ad Features Rick and Morty

Fans get a tiny bit of Rick and Morty before season 4 in the new Trover Saves The Universe Trailer.

Trover Saves The Universe is the new VR action platformer from Rick and Morty co-creator and head of Squanch Games, Justin Roiland. The game, which we thought was, “great” by the way, came out last week. And now thanks to Roiland’s unmistakable voice, we’ve got a new trailer featuring the multiverse’s most schwifty duo.

The trailer, which features Rick and Morty sitting in their living room and watching gameplay of Trover Saves The Universe, is filled with in-jokes and fourth-wall breaks. Of course, Morty is excited and Rick is dismissive throughout, even going as far as to ask if Adult Swim know that they’re doing this promotion.

June’s Nintendo Switch Online NES Games Announced

Nintendo has announced that Double Dragon II: The Revenge, Volleyball, and City Connection will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online NES game library this month.

On Wednesday, June 12, these three titles will join the ever-growing list of NES Classics that saw Donkey Kong Jr., Clu Clu Land, and Excitebike added last month.

Double Dragon II: The Revenge originally released in arcades in 1988 and was ported to the NES in 1990. Nintendo's official description is as follows;

Billy and Jimmy Lee, the Double Dragons, are back to avenge the loss of Marian. In their quest to defeat the evil Shadow Warriors, Billy and Jimmy must complete nine missions, facing deadly street gangs, ninjas and huge mutant fighters. Can Billy and Jimmy contend with the enemies placed before them and ultimately save the world?

1. Monster Hunter Generations' Glavenus is Teased

At the end of the story trailer, a hunter confronts a Rathian. Behind the hunter, you can just make out the feet of another monster in the back right corner. The screen cuts to black before we can get a clear shot, but the subsequent roar and fiery sword slice can only belong to Glavenus.

Rocksteady Games Confirms It Won’t Be Showing Its New Game at E3 2019

Rocksteady Studios, the developer behind the Batman: Arkham series, has confirmed that it won't be showing its new game at E3 2019.

Game director and co-founder of Rocksteady Studios Sefton Hill took to Twitter to break the news following numerous fans asking if the studio would be revealing its first game since 2015's Batman: Arkham Knight at E3. Unfortunately, Hill confirmed that the team will be "remaining in London, hard at work on

next project."

Hill made a similar announcement for last year's E3 and 2018's The Game Awards. Accompanying The Game Awards no-show statement, however, Hill did confirm that the studio's new project would not be a Superman game.
