New Spidey Movie Cut This Obscure Star Wars Reference Tom Holland Didn’t Get

We're just a few days away from the upcoming summer blockbuster Spider-Man: Far From Home, a movie that is already impressing critics. And with a two hour and nine-minute runtime, the film is already packed with web-slinging action and heartfelt character moments. But it seems it was almost just a little bit longer, as the details of a deleted scene have recently surfaced. And it's sort of a weird one.

In a recent interview with Uproxx, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland revealed a deleted scene from the film that involved Peter Parker selling off a bunch of old toys in order to get a gift for his girlfriend. One of those toys, as it turns out, was based on an Empire Strikes Back character that most Star Wars fans probably don't think about very often.

Days Gone Challenge Mode Released Today

Days Gone's latest free content update adds a standalone Challenge Mode, which will see 12 weeks of challenges added to the Sony Bend PS4 exclusive. Players can take part in the first challenge, "Surrounded," starting today.

As detailed in the latest Days Gone patch notes on Reddit, the first free DLC challenge "Surrounded" pits players against a never-ending horde of Freakers. Players will have to use weapons, the environment, and whatever traps are at their disposal to take down Freakers, and doing so will increase your timer to keep battling the horde.

Every Friday for the next 12 weeks (this week included), a new challenge will unlock in the new mode (exact times are to be determined), but players can compete in the challenges whenever they are available to earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold rankings. Doing so will earn players credits, allowing them to buy new characters, custom accents, and rings. And, once players complete a challenge, they'll earn a Patch specific to that challenge, which Deacon will wear in both this mode as well as in the story mode.

What Breath of the Wild 2 Might Mean for the Zelda Timeline

The Legend of Zelda's timeline is long, complicated and notoriously messy. With 19 mainline entries, and one more on the way, it's understandable that things have gotten a bit unwieldy. Even then, most timelines don't include a split that generates three separate timelines rife with floods, parallel dimensions and resurrected demons.

The latest Zelda game, Breath of the Wild, simultaneously exists at the end of all three of these timelines, yet is strangely disconnected from each of them. The E3 2019 Breath of the Wild 2 trailer, however, suggests both it and its predecessor will finally have a much more concrete spot in this ever-growing legend.

Zelda Producer Discusses Upcoming Zelda Games

At E3 2019 we interviewed Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma about the just-announced The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel (Breath of the Wild 2?), the Link’s Awakening remake just around the corner, and other Zelda-related topics.

We’ve been reporting on the biggest news from this Aonuma interview over the past weeks, but because these high-level Nintendo developer interviews are so rare, we’ve also decided to present the interview in its entirety. Here are some highlights from the Aonuma interview, with the full transcript following below. We hope it will make for good beach reading for your summer break.

Google Will Not Remove Games From Your Stadia Library

Games purchased for Google Stadia will not be removed from your library, even if the game is removed from sale.

Talking to IGN and UK press at Google’s offices in London, Google vice president and Stadia boss Phil Harrison addressed concerns that games could be removed from the service and prevent users who have paid for the game without the ability to play.

When posed with the theoretical idea of a publisher pulling support for Stadia after a user having brought one of the company’s games, Harrison responded “Yes, you will still be able to access the game.”

“Now there may be, as we've seen in the past, times where the developer or publisher no longer has rights to sell to new players,” he elaborated. “And that means that the game will not be available to new players, but it will continue to be available to existing players.”
