Mario Kart Needs to Learn From Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled’s Grand Prix Mode

I can’t stop playing Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and I don’t intend to anytime soon. It’s no surprise that the kart racer is a great Crash Team Racing remake, and as a longtime Crash fan I expected to put in plenty of hours on Crash Cove. But the remake’s developers, Beenox, have added such a smart additional feature post-launch — the Grand Prix — that is the primary reason for my addiction. And it’s something that CTR’s kart racing competition, namely, Mario Kart, needs to steal, stat.

Warlander Preview: The Lightsaber(-ish) Game Where You CAN Dismember People

Warlander, in developer Clock Drive Games’ own words, is inspired by the Jedi Knight series and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. During my 20-minute demo, what made those aforementioned games special shined through, and I couldn’t get enough of the Lightsaber-like combat that had me chopping limbs and heads off any monster that stood in my path.

Warlander stars a resurrected hero named Bruce who wields a sentient sword that very much invokes the feel of that elegant weapon for a more civilized age. The weight behind each swing is heavy and packs a ton of force and, unlike for the majority of enemies in the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a successful strike will dismember limbs, heads, legs, and any other unfortunate body part that falls victim to Bruce’s wrath.

Why Marvel’s Bill Sienkiewicz Is Still Excited for the New Mutants Movie

Even as Marvel Studios begins planning how to integrate the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there's still one holdover from the Fox era left to go. The New Mutants is currently scheduled for an April 3, 2020 theatrical release. And though the multiple delays and lack of sequel prospects may have X-Men fans dismissing this spinoff, there's one Marvel creator who's still very excited to see the team make their big screen debut. Artist Bill Sienkiewicz thinks there's plenty of reason to be optimistic about The New Mutants.

We brought up the movie while discussing Sienkiewicz's art for the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix Steelbook Blu-ray. Having worked on classic New Mutants comic storylines like "The Demon Bear Saga" and having been given a chance to visit the set, Sienkiewicz is very eager to see this oft-delayed movie finally see the light of day.
