Marvel’s Hawkeye Officially Announced for Disney+

Marvel has officially announced a Hawkeye series for Disney+. The series will star Jeremy Renner in the titular role, with a premiere date set for fall 2021. Kate Bishop has also been confirmed, but no casting details were given. Marvel boss Kevin Feige promised to "explore more of his time as Ronin." In Avengers: Endgame, we got a brief glimpse of Renner as Ronin, who was in a dark place after losing his family to Thanos' snap.

While a new live-action Hawkeye series has been rumored to be in development over at Disney for a few months now, this is the first official confirmation we've received from Marvel.

Marvel’s What If…? Series Headed to Disney+ in Summer 2021

Marvel Studios' has revealed that its What If...? series will be headed to Disney+ in Summer 2021.

Marvel head Kevin Feige claims this What If series is "something Marvel Studios has never had the opportunity to do before."

There will be a "Twilight Zone style narration" with Westworld's Jeffrey Wright playing The Watcher, who also happens to be the narrator throughout Marvel's first animated series. The Watcher is a "non-Earthly being that observes all things."

Doctor Strange 2 Reveals Cast, Release Date at Comic Con

Doctor Strange 2 will be released on May 7, 2021 with director Scott Derrickson returning, as well as star Benedict Cumberbatch.

The full title for the Doctor Strange sequel will be: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Director Scott Derrickson appeared on stage at Hall H during the Marvel Studios panel to discuss a little more about the upcoming film.

"If I'm going to do it, it's going to have to do what the comics did," Derrickson said to the crowd. The director, best known for his horror films like Sinister, says that there will be gothic horror elements and psychedelic weirdness in the movie. Derrickson said that Doctor Strange 2 will be "the first scary MCU movie." However, it will still be PG-13, Kevin Feige confirmed.

Zemo Surprises Comic Con Crowd With Comics-Accurate Mask to Threaten Falcon and the Winter Soldier

During the Marvel Studios panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic Con 2019, Kevin Feige brought out Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie to talk about the upcoming Disney+ show called Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The presentation was interrupted when the audio started to scramble and the lights went out, then actor Daniel Brühl appeared on the big screens as his villainous Zemo. Sporting a goatee and a black coat with some white fur on the collar, he said that he wasn’t there to threaten the panel attendees but that he had a message for the heroes: “I’ll be seeing you soon.” Then he put on a purple mask reminiscent of his supervillain look from the comics.

The Flash: Season 6’s First Major Villain Is Bloodwork

The CW has released the first teaser trailer for The Flash: Season 6, which reveals the next major villain stirring trouble in Central City. Team Flash's new nemesis is Ramsey Rosso, aka Bloodwork. Rosso will be played by Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes).

The reveal came during The CW's The Flash panel at Comic-Con (moderated by IGN's own Laura Prudom). Check out the teaser below for an exclusive first look at Bloodwork:

Bloodwork is a relatively newer addition to Flash's rogues gallery in the comics, first appearing in 2017's The Flash #29. In the comics, Rosso is a morgue attendant who suffers from severe hemophilia. His experiments with blood eventually granted him superhuman abilities, including invulnerability and the power to manipulate the blood in other people's bodies.

Death Stranding Character Trailer and Box Art Revealed

Update: PlayStation has just released the Heartman character trailer that debuted at SDCC, showing Heartman speaking with Sam, Norman Reedus' character. Heartman explains how his strange medical condition works, while pontificating on the things he can do with each 21-minute cycle. Check out the trailer above.

Among the anecdotes shared was some new information on Refn's character Heartman, first revealed in Death Stranding's release date trailer which debuted during PlayStation's pre-E3 2019 State of Play presentation.

WandaVision Release Date Announced for 2021

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany joined Kevin Feige on stage in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con to announce that WandaVision will be coming to Disney+ in Spring 2021.

Feige said the show is strange, with Olsen adding in that, "We’re going to get weird, we’re going to go very deep."

Olsen also said, "We’re going to finally understand Wanda Maximoff as Scarlet Witch."

“Every time we do one of these the stories get richer and richer and this is the richest yet,” Bettany said.

WandaVision takes place after Endgame, and other MCU characters will appear, such as

Monica Rambeau’s daughter, ‘Lieutenant Trouble’ from Captain Marvel. Rambeau herself, played by Teyonah Parris will also appear in the show.

Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Release Date Revealed

Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be released in theaters on February 12, 2021, and further cast members were revealed.

Shang-Chi will be played by Simu Liu, who has starred in Kim's Convenience and the Taken TV series and, during Marvel's SDCC panel, he said he was "screen tested on Sunday,

was cast on Tuesday."

The Mandarin will be featured in this film, played by Tony Leung, and will most likely be the real one following Ben Kingsley's Trevor Slattery acting as him in Iron Man 3. Awkwafina will also be joining the cast, but no character name was given.

Marvel Reveals Six New X-Men Comics in ‘Dawn of X’ Relaunch

Marvel Comics finally revealed what's in store for the X-Men franchise after writer Jonathan Hickman wraps up House of X and Powers of X this fall. As revealed at the Marvel next Big Thing panel at Comic Con, Hickman will be spearheading a full relaunch of the X-Men line that includes six new titles

Hickman will be writing the core X-Men title with artist Leinil Yu and co-writing the first story arc of New Mutants with permanent writer Ed Brisson and artist Rod Reis. Other titles include Excalibur (from Tini Howard and Marcus To), The Marauders (from Gerry Duggan and Matteo Lolli), Fallen Angels (from Bryan Edward Hill & Szymon Kudranski) and X-Force (from Ben Percy and Joshua Cassara).
