‘I Didn’t Want To Make A Bad John Wick Game’ Says John Wick Hex Creator
The man helming John Wick Hex, Mike Bithell, has admitted he was "cautious" at first about making a John Wick game.
Speaking in a featurette about combat design, he said that when publisher Good Shepherd first came to him with the idea of turning the film franchise into a game, "I didn't believe it at first. I'm a massive action movie fan.
"I was very cautious because I didn’t want to make a bad John Wick game. This is important. This is a franchise that matters".
The John Wick series has made nearly $500 million at the box office, with John Wick 3 Parabellum holding second place for Keanu Reeves’ best opening weekend behind The Matrix Reloaded.
Creating something for such a broad and dedicated fanbase requires attention to detail. Bithell Studios decided "we wanted to build a game and an approach to playing that was completely focused on being John Wick".

The Biggest Comic Con News (That Wasn’t Marvel Studios)
This year's Comic-Con proved to be one of the most newsworthy in quite a while, especially thanks to that jam-packed Marvel Studios panel. But this year's show was about more than just new MCU movies and Disney+ shows. We also got closer looks at some of the biggest movie and TV projects of the next year, along with some cool new comics.
From new trailers for Top Gun: Maverick and IT Chapter Two to major panels focused on shows like Rick and Morty, The Witcher and the Arrowverse, here's all the biggest news from Comic-Con that wasn't at the Marvel Studios panel. Check out our slideshow below or scroll down to learn more.
The Witcher First Trailer
The Witcher fans got a much closer look at the upcoming Netflix series at Comic-Con thanks to the debut of a new trailer at Netflix's panel. We also got to chat with star Henry Cavill, who revealed more about how magic will be handled in this fantasy series. "The thing with magic as well, its one of those things which we’re using it as a force which is drawn from. You draw from chaos, and that is explained in Yennefer’s storyline especially, and it manifests in different ways. And you will see it as the audience how it manifests, and some familiar things which players of the game and readers of the books will understand."
Why Comic-Con Was the Best Time to Release Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
Marvel, unsurprisingly, dominated San Diego Comic-Con. With its Marvel Studios panel that fully outlined the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4, and its Marvel Games panel that showed off Marvel’s Avengers footage to fans en masse, the show might as well have been called Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con 2019. But one of Marvel’s smartest moves didn’t even happen at the show itself — it was the release of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 that same weekend, timed perfectly to capitalize on the fan fervor of all things Marvel.
Why it’s Time For Video Games to Address Climate Change
Climate change is often seen as a distant problem, a burden for future generations to bear. This comes as no surprise; the sheer scale of destruction that human activity has brought upon the planet since the middle of last century is overwhelming. Earth has heated dramatically. Islands and coastlines have begun to sink into the rising seas. Extreme weather events, such as heatwaves, droughts, wildfires, storms, and floods, have drastically increased in frequency, displacing and taking the lives of thousands of people each year. Ecosystems have begun to collapse. Extinction has become a daily event. And all these problems are accelerating. Right now. The climate future is already upon us.
