Sonic the Hedgehog Movie: Jim Carrey Talks Reshoots and Feeling ‘Out of Control’
Actor Jim Carrey, who plays Doctor Robotnik in the upcoming live-action Sonic The Hedgehog movie, has commented on what he calls the “collective consciousness” that led to filmmakers agreeing to re-do the controversial CGI design for Sonic.
Carrey was at the annual Television Critics Association meeting to discuss the second season of his Showtime series Kidding. There, he was asked what he thought about the way social media led to the makers behind the upcoming live-action Sonic movie to change the controversial design of Sonic.
“I don’t know quite how I feel about the audience being in on the creation of it while it’s happening,” Carrey says. “So, we’ll have to see what that entails, because sometimes you find that the collective consciousness decides it wants something, and then when it get it, it goes, ‘Okay. I just wanted it. I didn’t care about it. I just jumped on the bandwagon’ or whatever.”
How to Touch Pass, Bullet Pass, and Perform Other Passes in Madden 20
Whether you're great at reading the field or are still getting to know your playbook, mastering the pass game in Madden 20 is as essential as ever. Here's how to execute all five passes and, more importantly, when to use them.
If you're not sure which button mention corresponds to the version you're playing, visit this page by EA for information on each version of Madden 20's controls.
Touch Passes
Touch Passes are normal throws executed by pressing-and-releasing the receiver button. They come out a bit slower than bullet passes but arc a little higher and are difficult for anyone not in the quarterback's face to deflect them prior to the flight. Touch passes are relatively easy to catch for both the offense and defense, but they tend to be the most accurate type of pass. If you're not throwing into a crowd, touch passes are usually the best option.
Avengers: Endgame’s Shocking Thanos Scene Is More Morbid Than Anyone Realized
Warning: full spoilers for Avengers: Endgame ahead!
The filmmaker’s commentary track on the digital release of Avengers: Endgame has shed light on the abrupt and shocking death of Thanos in the first 20 minutes of the movie.
The scene takes place soon after the surviving Avengers locate the Mad Titan’s hideaway planet and capture him in an effort to secure the Infinity Stones. As we now all know, Thanos had already destroyed the stones, leaving the heroes without an easy way to undo the Snap. Upon learning this, Thor takes a hollow victory by lopping off the villain’s head with Stormbreaker. But co-writer Christopher Markus reveals that the Avengers were only able to kill him because Thanos allowed it.
Showtime’s Halo TV Series May Reveal Master Chief’s Face
After several delays and false starts, a live-action Halo TV series is finally moving forward at Showtime. While the studio says it will stay true to the source material, there is one area that might make a big departure from the games: Master Chief’s face.
“There’s all kinds of new drama that we will be exploring but we will stay faithful to the canon,” Showtime president Gary Levine told Deadline at the annual Television Critics Association. “We’re not going to violate anything that’s in the canon.”
However, Showtime may cross one line neither Bungie nor 343 Industries have walked over yet: showing Master Chief’s face.
Fast and Furious Actors Dictate How Much They Get Beat Up in Fight Scenes
Crew members on the Fast & Furious movies claim that actors Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham strongly dictate how much they get hit during fight scenes.
According to an article in The Wall Street Journal, the three actors have created specific guidelines that ensure they don't get beat up too much on screen.
The report says Diesel saw that Statham was getting more hits on him during rehearsal for a fight in the seventh Fast & Furious movie, so he came to producers with a numerical system that gives a different value to each type of hit. This was rejected for being too convoluted.

10. Hawkeye’s Family Is Dust in the Wind
Speaking of crying, kicking off our list is the gut-wrenching opening scene of the movie where Hawkeye’s family turns into dust in the wind. After sitting out Infinity War, fans demanded to know where Marvel’s premiere archer was, and we got to see a brief moment of him happily picnicking with his family before the effect of the Snap wiped them from existence. This was a grim way to start the film but it did its job by establishing the human, emotional stakes of the movie in harrowing fashion.
