Intel Brings Six-Core Processors to Ultrabooks
Intel may have just introduced its 10nm Ice Lake processors, but the company isn’t saying goodbye to its 14nm process anytime soon as it has just announced new 10th Generation Comet Lake CPUs.
Before we all collectively groan at yet another batch of 14nm chips from Intel, Comet Lake is notably bringing hexa-core power to a U-series chip for the first time. And from what MSI has told us, these typically power-efficient chips will be able to rival an Intel 9th Generation H-series CPU in processing power.
Death Stranding: Exclusive Gamescom Trailer Reveals Norman Reedus’ Main Mission
There's an extra Death Stranding trailer being shown at Gamescom, and we've just seen it. Strap in.
Currently only being shown to those attending the Death Stranding booth at the German show, the trailer - called 'Briefing' - is a story cutscene, seemingly from the earlier parts of the game, and it contextualises much of what we've seen in previous trailers, particularly about what Norman Reedus' Sam is aiming for in the game.
Featuring Norman Reedus' Sam, Lindsay Wagner's Amelie, and Tommie Earl Jenkins' Die-Hardman, the trailer takes place in what seems to be the Oval Office, and features the two latter characters attempting to convince Sam to join their cause - to reconnect the fractured cities of the UCA (or United Cities of America).
Joker Director Is Down for a Sequel if Joaquin Phoenix Returns
Joker director Todd Phillips has revealed he would consider working on a sequel to the upcoming origin movie, but only if Joaquin Phoenix reprises his role as the titular character.
In an interview with Total Film, Phillips suggested there could be potential for a Joker sequel, though it would be dependent on a few conditions, chief among them being that Phoenix steps into the shoes of the Clown Prince of Crime once again.
"One thing I will tell you: I would do anything with Joaquin, any day of the week," Phillips said. "There's nobody like him. If he was willing to do it, and if people show up to this movie, and Warners came to us and said, 'You know what? If you guys could think of something…' Well, I have a feeling that he and I could think of something pretty cool."

DayZ No Longer Banned for Sale in Australia
Bohemia Interactive’s DayZ has been reclassified MA15+ in Australia, closing the book on a tumultuous few months for the game down under. This means DayZ is no longer banned for sale in Australia and will be able to be released at retail for PS4 and Xbox One later this year as planned.
DayZ was refused classification on June 4 this year due to “illicit or proscribed drug use related to incentives or rewards,” a quirk of the Australian game classification guidelines that Australia’s Interactive Games and Entertainment Association has called “nonsensical.” DayZ was refused classification due to cannabis use that, in the Classification Board’s opinion, “acted as an incentive or reward to boost overall health and survivability.”
Spider-Man Leaving the MCU: Sony Releases Official Statement on ‘Disney’s Decision’
Sony Pictures has made an official statement in response to the news that Marvel Studios will not co-produce any further Spider-Man films, blaming Disney and saying it is "disappointed" that Marvel president Kevin Feige will no longer act as lead producer on the film franchise.
As reported by THR, Sony Pictures claims that much of today's Spider-Man news has "mischaracterized recent discussions" and that Disney made the decision to part ways with Sony.

IT Chapter Two First Reactions Twitter Roundup
Members of the press were able to attend early screenings of Stephen King's IT Chapter Two, and the first impressions are a bit of mixed.
Many say that IT Chapter Two doesn't quite live up to the high standards of the first film, but it still has some great scary moments and the cast is fantastic. A lot of praise was also given to Bill Hader, who many say stole the movie.
Here's our roundup of the first reactions to IT Chapter Two.
IGN's own Jim Vejvoda said that IT Chapter Two "can't quite stick the landing nor live up to the high expectations set by Chapter One," although there still are some "creepy set-pieces & solid perfomances to make for an effective albeit formulaic conclusion."
All MCU Plot Threads Sony’s Spider-Man Will Likely Have to Abandon
News that Marvel and Sony have come to an impasse while negotiating new terms on their deal to share Spider-Man could very well mean, if a new deal isn’t reached, that Peter Parker will no longer be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tom Holland’s version of Spider-Man became fully immersed in the MCU after debuting in Captain America: Civil War, but now we may be getting a solo Spidey film that can’t reference many of the plot threads established since then. Holland is contracted to appear in two more Spider-Man films, so let’s take a look at all of the elements that Sony will likely have to abandon in future movies.
The Matrix 4: A History of Rumors About the New Sequel
What better way to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of The Matrix than long-awaited confirmation of a new sequel. Warner Bros. confirmed The Matrix 4 is in the works, with original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss and co-director Lana Wachowski all returning.

A New Matrix Duology/Trilogy
Several times over the past decade, rumors have sprung up concerning a brand new series of films continuing where The Matrix Revolutions left off. AICN reported back in 2011 that Reeves had met with the Wachowskis and read their treatment for a pair of sequels. EW later shot down that rumor.
