World of Warcraft Classic Servers Are Now Live

The World of Warcraft Classic servers are now live. That is, if you haven’t been caught by the long queues.

World of Warcraft’s highly anticipated Classic servers were set to go live today, August 26, 2019 at 3 PM PT/6PM ET/11 PM BST. However, Blizzard warned that server overpopulation is very real, just based on the username claims that have been made so far.

If you’re one of the lucky ones to get into a World of Warcraft classic server, congratulations. If not, you may be waiting awhile depending on where in the queue landed.

Blizzard warned players that the Herod server was already overpopulated, and that players should consider moving to another server before Blizzard decides to raise any population caps. And that’s on top of the increased server sizes Blizzard has already implemented into World of Warcraft Classic servers.

Mortal Kombat Movie Reboot Casts its Sonya Blade, Kano

Two more key actors have joined the cast of New Line's Mortal Kombat movie, as Sonya Blade and Kano enter the arena.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica McNamee (The Meg) is in final talks to play series mainstay Sonya Blade. Meanwhile, Josh Lawson (House of Lies) has signed on to play Sonya's nemesis Kano.

In addition to these two casting choices, THR also reports that Lewis Tan (Wu Assassins) has signed on to play an undisclosed character. We wouldn't be surprised if Tan has been cast as Scorpion, opposite Joe Taslim's Sub-Zero. Another option would be main villain Shang Tsung, a role popularized by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa in the original 1995 movie.

IT Chapter Two: Bill Hader Credits Finn Wolfhard For His Casting

It's a pretty impressive lineup of actors playing the adult Losers Club in IT Chapter Two, and Bill Hader gives all credit for his casting to his young Richie Tozier counterpart Finn Wolfhard.

Following the success of 2017's IT and before the adult Losers were cast, the kid Losers were frequently asked who they'd like to see play their older selves. Wolfhard repeatedly answered "Bill Hader," and apparently that was enough to get the attention of Hader's agent, director Andy Muschietti and Hader himself.

"Finn got me the job," Hader said during the press conference for IT Chapter Two. "He said, 'I want

Kit Harington’s MCU Character Explained: Who Is Marvel’s Black Knight?

The upcoming movie Marvel's The Eternals will introduce a number of new heroes and villains to the MCU, as fans get a chance to meet the rest of Thanos' race. But as we learned at D23, The Eternals is also introducing a long-standing Avenger. Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has been cast as Dane Whitman, better known as the sword-wielding superhero Black Knight.

Who is Dane Whitman, and why is he showing up in The Eternals? Read on for everything you need to know about Harington's character.

Black Knight: The Basics

There have been several heroes and villains to carry the mantle of Black Knight, but Dane Whitman is easily the most enduring and popular of them all. Dane wields a mystical sword called the Ebony Blade and carries on the heroic legacy of his ancestor, Sir Percy of Scandia. He's been a valuable member of many superhero teams, including the Avengers, Defenders, Heroes for Hire and Ultraforce. He's even formed a romantic bond with Sersi, creating lasting ties to The Eternals.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Loot Box Controversy: ‘We Hit Rock Bottom,” EA DICE Says

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is almost two years old, but the developers at EA DICE are finally moving on from the loot box controversy that dogged the first year of Star Wars Battlefront 2.

“We hit rock bottom in terms of player sentiment but now it’s climbing every month,” Battlefront 2 design director Dennis Brännvall said in a new interview with GamesIndustry.biz.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 was supposed to be EA DICE’s definitive take on the Battlefront series, which EA inherited from Pandemic Studios. Unfortunately, the decision to include loot boxes that potentially allowed players to earn powerful upgrades, which players said were “pay-to-win,” severely harmed the hype for the game ahead of its launch. EA DICE removed loot boxes from the game 24 hours before launch.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot: Everything New We Learned at Gamescom

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is shaping up to be one of the most faithful recreations of Dragon Ball Z’s story ever told in video game form, and while it is being framed as the story of Goku, we learned at Gamescom what many already suspected: Goku’s not the only playable character. Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Trunks were also announced as playable characters, with Tien, Chiaotzu, and Krillin serving as support characters.

I spoke with Ryosuke Hara, a producer at CyberConnect2 for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot about how the characters will differ from each other and how character progression would work for multiple characters. “The abilities in general of the characters are very similar in order to be user-friendly, even for people who play these kinds of games for the first time. But on the other hand, you are able to raise different skills and parameters for each character,” said Hara.
