Here’s Why Major Theater Chains Won’t Show Scorsese’s New Film

Netflix has announced that Martin Scorsese's The Irishman will debut in theaters 27 days ahead of its arrival on the streaming service, but not at major chains.

Deadline reports that the star-studded mob drama will receive a limited release, starting out in select theaters across Los Angeles and New York on November 1. Additional screens will be added in the United States and the United Kingdom throughout its 27-day theatrical window before launching on Netflix on November 27, the day before Thanksgiving.

World of Warcraft Classic Players Are Very Politely Queuing For Quest Items

Players of World of Warcraft Classic are forming polite queues to collect in-game quest items.

You may have already seen that World of Warcraft Classic has proven exceptionally popular, with 1 million viewers on Twitch and huge queues to actually access the servers and get playing. The result of so many people diving in is that substantially more people than usual are attempting to pick up quest items. But rather than cause a rabble and provide the item to the player who can hit the pick-up button the fastest, the community has organised itself into polite lines so that everyone has a chance at getting the item.

Borderlands 3’s Mechs and Pets Are Skills You’ll Actually Care About

Until recently, I had only a passing interest in Borderlands 3. I knew I’d play it, but it wasn’t something I was excited for. But since the full character roster was announced, things are different. My interest in Borderlands 3 has notably peaked thanks to a couple of big reveals: the Iron Bear mech and FL4K’s collection of pets.

Borderlands has always had varied character classes, but I’ve found them difficult to invest in. Deployable turrets, holographic decoys, and summonable drones are all useful battle tools, but they’re simply functional. As such, I’ve generally found the Vault Hunters a bit, well... boring, which shouldn’t be the case when you consider Borderlands’ bombastic style. However, it looks like Borderlands 3 is solving this issue with Moze and FL4K by way of special abilities that are effectively dependable pals that you can build a ‘bond’ with and affection for, rather than soulless utilities on a belt.

Hasbro’s Gigantic Unicron Figure Adds Even More to Love

The astonishingly enormous Unicron Transformers figure from Hasbro has just 4 days left to reach its funding goal, and Hasbro is sweetening the deal with some new accessories.

It's up to you to decide if you prefer your Unicron's chin smooth or bearded, with both options now part of the Unicron figure. But better than chin choices, the figure includes a 1.5-inch Galvatron figure to recreate one of the most iconic scenes from the Transformers animated movie.

Galvatron's scale makes it "just the right size to fit in Unicron’s hand, as seen in the 1986 film." For a look at the new accessories, check out the gallery below.

Eternals Openly Gay Character Will Be Married With a Family

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed Eternals will feature the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first openly gay character in a large role.

Feige offered a few more details about the LGBTQ+ character at Disney's D23 Expo this past weekend, telling Good Morning America, "He's married. He's got a family. And that is just part of who he is."

While the identity of the character was not revealed, it seems that he will be the star of the first focused gay role in the MCU. This follows some backlash over how Marvel debuted the first ever gay character in Avengers: Endgame, with Joe Russo stepping in for a very brief cameo as a grieving gay man in a therapy session - a character who was inconsequential to the plot.

Hideo Kojima has taken to Twitter to clear up how player perspective works in Death Stranding - but in typical fashion the answer is enigmatic.
