Cyberpunk 2077 Dev Explains Why There’s No Character Gender Option Anymore

CD Projekt Red is doing away with traditional character gender options in Cyberpunk 2077 to keep with the cyberpunk ethos of the genre. The developers confirmed the latest development in a new interview.

Metro caught up with CD Projekt Red senior concept artist Marthe Jonkers to talk more about the world building in Cyberpunk 2077, and how that manifests in the gameplay. Specifically, Metro asked about gender in Cyberpunk 2077, an area that CD Projekt Red received criticism for in the past.

Jonkers said the developers are working to make Cyberpunk 2077 “really inclusive.” This resulted in gameplay design choices like an expanded character customization menu.

Meet Every Character and Cast Member in Netflix’s Dark Crystal Prequel

Netflix's The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance arguably has one of the most impressive voice casts ever assembled, including genre mainstays like Sigourney Weaver, Mark Hamill, and Simon Pegg; Game of Thrones alums Nathalie Emmanuel, Lena Headey, and Natalie Dormer; and Harry Potter stars like Jason Isaacs and Helena Bonham Carter.

The show is already drawing comparisons to Game of Thrones for its sprawling ensemble cast of warring clans, anchored by Emmanuel's Deet, Taron Egerton's Rian, and Anya Taylor-Joy's Brea, and you'd be forgiven for being unable to tell which Skesis is which in the first episode, which throws you right into the middle of a tumultuous political power struggle taking place in the world of Thra.

The Wolf Among Us 2: Telltale Games’ Revival Explained

Update 12/13: The Wolf Among Us 2 has been announced at The Game Awards for the second time. The sequel to the Fables-based adventure game was originally announced in 2017, but the unfortunate closure of Telltale Games meant that the game never came to be. But what happened to Telltale Games, and why is the studio back? Is it even the same studio? Our full explainer below will tell you everything you need to know.

Telltale Games is alive (in some form) again following a buyout by a Malibu, California-based company called LCG Entertainment. But news of Telltale’s revival isn’t as clear-cut as headlines would suggest, especially considering Telltale’s complicated history leading to its closure in 2018.
