Borderlands 3 Endgame Revealed Including New Game Plus, Guardian Rank, and More
Borderlands 3 may not be a fully-fledged live-service game, but it’ll still have an endgame that should hopefully keep players busy, months after beating the main story campaign.
Gearbox took the stage at PAX West today to reveal Borderlands 3’s sprawling endgame. After beating the main story mode, there will be a combination of different progression paths that should keep you occupied. As such, Borderlands 3’s endgame will comprise of: True Vault Hunter Mode, Guardian Rank, and Mayhem Mode.
True Vault Hunter Mode is Borderlands 3’s New Game Plus. Players will be able to tackle the main story campaign again, only it’ll be much harder. Luckily, players can keep their weapons, levels, and other perks they earned the first time around.
Death Stranding’s Peeing & 13 Other Weird Game Mechanics
We may remember a game for its great story or amazing graphics, but all games live or die by their mechanics, regardless of how simple or complex they may be. Sometimes, though - as we were just reminded by the most recent gameplay trailer for Death Stranding - a game’s mechanics can be straight-up weird.
Whether a fun gimmick or a totally buck-wild mindf***, plenty of developers have tried to differentiate themselves from the rest of the industry with unique gameplay mechanics - here are some of our favorites.

Tony Hawk and Neversoft Talk How Pro Skater Changed Their Lives
The skateboarding industry, much like the video game industry, is a massive web of marketing, of community, and of money -- all with a deep well of young men and women’s aspirations fueling it along. They’re both massively popular industries now - the International Olympics Committee has finally acknowledged skateboarding’s cultural relevance - but it’s funny to think that, less than a decade apart, both experienced massive turmoil. The great video game crash of 1983, and the early ‘90s crackdown on street skating threatened their lifeblood..
But together, both worlds came together to make something incredible. It helped turn Tony Hawk, a once-down-on-his-luck pro skater, into a living legend, and it turned Neversoft, a humble game studio full of rowdy, young developers, into a household name among gamers. 20 years ago this August, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater established a legacy that lives on to this day.
26 More Movies to Geek Out Over This Year
The summer movie season may be winding down, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of reasons to hit the multiplex in the months ahead.
The next few months are a treasure trove of promising movies, from epic blockbusters like Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Jumanji: The Next Level to creepy horror fare like It Chapter Two and Doctor Sleep to a brand new, star-studded Martin Scorsese flick.

It Chapter Two
Release Date: Sep. 6 (US/UK), Sep. 5 (AU)
2017's It easily ranks among the best Stephen King adaptations ever made, but it only told half of the story. It Chapter Two completes the story, as the adult versions of the Losers' Club return to Derry to deal with Pennywise once and for all. While the young cast of the original film will return (along with Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise and director Andy Muschietti), the focus this time will be on A-Listers like Bill Hader, Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy.

For ’90s Kids, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Made Games Cool
Update: This was originally published right before Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 was released, and we all know how that turned out. However, on the 20th anniversary of the original Pro Skater, we thought it deserved a re-publish.
These days, gaming has entered the lexicon of ‘cool’. Expensive video game trailers set to expensive music blast onto TV screens at primetime, advertisements are splashed across buses in every major city in the world and E3 'press' conferences are modeled after rock concerts. Kanye’s a gamer. Snoop’s a gamer. Mila and Aubrey are gamers. Everybody’s a gamer.

The Inspriation Behind Chilling New Comic ‘Something Is Killing the Children’
As the title suggests, Something Is Killing the Children is graphic and horrifying. When it was first announced, the comic seemed like it could be a Stranger Things riff, an adventure story about kids fighting a terrible monster. While it does have some of those elements, the first issue makes it abundantly clear that this story is going to take things to a much, much darker place.
“There are battles with monsters and whatnot, but this book is coming from the darkest possible emotions and those are the emotions I want to explore in the series,” writer and series creator James Tynion IV told IGN.
Tynion has been carrying the title of this series around for a long time. He originally attached it to a short story in college, but that story faded away while the title continued to rattle around in his brain. Even as Tynion moved to the big leagues, writing everything from Justice League Dark, Constantine: The Hellblazer and Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, ideas for Something Is Killing the Children would still come to him. It wasn’t until he brought these pieces to publisher Boom! Studios that he finally came up with the story that title was meant to tell.
Borderlands 3 Preorder Guide for the UK: Everything You Need to Know
The wait is almost over, as Borderlands 3 is officially released on September 13 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The third major instalment of the looter-shooter will mark the return of many characters from the previous titles (including Tales from the Borderlands), like Lilith, Mordecai, Brick, Tiny Tina, Moxxi, Claptrap, Vaughn, Rhys, and more.
Gearbox has also said the game will feature over a billion guns, which is a lot.
There's plenty of preorder bonuses to wrap your head around as well, alongside four different editions to consider. This includes the exclusive Collector's Edition from GAME, which includes a Replica Diamond Loot Chest for you to store all your real-world loot inside.
The Strangest Lightsabers in the Star Wars Universe
The lightsaber is undoubtedly one of the coolest (albeit sadly nonexistent) weapons in all of pop culture. What's not to love about a laser sword that can cut through anything yet easily stow away in your pocket when not in use? Though as we've seen many times in the Star Wars universe, some Jedi and Sith aren't content to stick to the traditional lightsaber design. Dark Side Rey and her bizarre switchblade lightsaber is just the latest example.
