Director and co-writer Todd Phillips is joined by his long-time Hangover trilogy collaborator, Lawrence Sher, who serves as the film's director of photography.

Together, Phillips and Sher have created a stunning new cinematic world for Phoenix's Arthur Fleck to inhabit, one that doesn't resemble any other DC Comics-based movie we've seen before. In the gallery below, we've selected 44 of our favorite cinematic moments from the trailer.

Very little is known about the film's overall story, apart from a brief synopsis from Warner Bros. that describes Joker as an "exploration of Arthur Fleck, a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale."

The Wolf Among Us 2: Telltale Games’ Revival Explained

Update 12/13: The Wolf Among Us 2 has been announced at The Game Awards for the second time. The sequel to the Fables-based adventure game was originally announced in 2017, but the unfortunate closure of Telltale Games meant that the game never came to be. The story doesn't end there, though; Telltale Games has been revived, and The Wolf Among Us 2 is back in development, with some of the original developers and voice cast returning, too.

But what happened to Telltale Games, and why is the studio back? Is it even the same studio? Our full explainer below will tell you everything you need to know.

Telltale Games is alive (in some form) again following a buyout by a Malibu, California-based company called LCG Entertainment. But news of Telltale’s revival isn’t as clear-cut as headlines would suggest, especially considering Telltale’s complicated history leading to its closure in 2018.

Marvel Comics #1000 Features… a Batman Cameo?!

Marvel Comics #1000 is a celebration of 80 years of Marvel, featuring 80 different creative teams telling 80 one-page stories featuring various Marvel characters big and small… but one non-Marvel character managed to sneak in: Batman.

That’s right, the Dark Knight himself makes a cameo in Marvel’s big anniversary issue. It won’t surprise you to hear that he shows up in the story featuring Deadpool, the one character who can get away with such a thing.

In the strip by writer Gail Simone and artist David Baldeon, Deadpool decides to engage in some uplifting activities to celebrate Marvel’s 80th birthday, so he eats at a buffet dressed as Galactus, throws a luau with frenemy Cable, and goes on what he describes as a “peaceful boat ride” when in reality we see he’s stolen the Batboat from a caught-off-guard Batman. We only see the back of Batman’s cowled head as he yells after Wade Wilson making his watery getaway, but it’s unmistakably him.
