SmackDown Ratings: Nearly 4 Million Viewers for FOX Debut

WWE SmackDown's big shift from USA Network to FOX, moving from Tuesday basic cable to Friday "Top 4" Network, brought the Blue Brand 3.869 million viewers for its debut.

The number is bumped up to 3.999 million when you include FOX Deportes and streaming platforms.

This was up 84% from the final USA Network episode (2.099 million viewers), though it should be noted that FOX is a major network with more reach and availability.

Per Deadline, Friday Night SmackDown also led the night in the 18-49 demo, and finished second in total viewers to CBS, whose lineup of crime shows (Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I. Blue Bloods) pulled in more eyes, but from an older demographic.

Vin Diesel as Bloodshot Revealed in Action Figure Form

Most of the time, our first official look at a new big screen superhero comes in the form of a trailer, teaser poster, press images, and occasionally leaked set photos.

In the case of the upcoming Vin Diesel superhero movie Bloodshot, our first look comes in the form of an action figure that was on display at New York Comic Con 2019.

It certainly looks exactly like Vin Diesel dressed as Bloodshot, though it's a little anticlimactic for the next big screen superhero's reveal to happen in the back corner of the Diamond Comic Distrubutors booth in a display case shared by Fortnite and My Hero Academia figures. Also, by the time we got there to snap some dimly-lit photos, the Bloodshot figure had fallen over. Guys, come on. Put some museum putty on his feet or something. Thankfully, there are some much better images up on the McFarlane Toys Instagram!

Stephen King’s Castle Rock: Season 2 Premiere Review

This is a spoiler-free review of the Castle Rock Season 2 premiere, titled "Let the River Run" that was originally published out of New York Comic Con. The first three episodes are now streaming on Hulu.

Misery never felt quite so good as it does in the Season 2 premiere of Hulu's Castle Rock, which brings Kingverse villainess Annie Wilkes (Masters of Sex star Lizzy Caplan) to the small Maine town when she and her daughter, Joy (portrayed by Eighth Grade's Elsie Fisher), are waylaid after a car accident. Hulu's decision to allow (or compel?) showrunners Dustin Thomason and Sam Shaw to go the anthology route with something "wholly original" for their second outing appears to have paid off. Caplan's Wilkes is a creative fresh coat of paint for the series, and even though the town looks the same outwardly, its narrative inner-workings are already more intriguing than Season 1.

Joker Actor Addresses That Theory About Arthur Fleck’s Past

Major SPOILERS ahead for Joker!

One of the mysteries in director Todd Phillips' Joker is whether Arthur Fleck really is the son of Thomas Wayne as his mother Penny Fleck claimed. Both Wayne himself and Arthur Pennyworth said it was untrue and that Penny was delusional, hence her eventual stay in Arkham Asylum. But to Brett Cullen, the actor who plays Wayne, "in my mind, Thomas Wayne put her there."

Penny Fleck worked for the Waynes thirty years before the events of the film, with Arthur learning that he was adopted by her while she worked for them. Penny had previously admitted to Arthur that she and Thomas had an affair, that Arthur is Thomas' son, and that's why she's been incessantly writing to him so that he could help them out financially. Penny also said she was made to sign some papers requiring her silence on the matter.
