The Last of Us Part 2 Release Date Delayed
Despite announcing The Last of Us Part 2's 2020 release date just a few weeks ago, PlayStation and Naughty Dog have confirmed a delay for the highly anticipated sequel.
The Last of Us Part 2 has been delayed to May 29, 2020, Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann, who also serves as creative director on Part 2, confirmed in a PlayStation blog post.
"Let me cut to the chase and get the news out of the way. The Last of Us Part II has a new release date of May 29, 2020," Druckmann wrote. "I know. It was just about a month ago when we had our big blowout for the game, letting media play over two hours of it along with debuting our new story trailer and revealing the release date. The positive response we saw from our community was overwhelming. You can feel the energy among the team members. After working on something for so many years, it’s invigorating to get a glimpse of validation for all the hard work."
Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods and Monsters Delayed
Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch_Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Gods & Monsters have all been delayed into Ubisoft's fiscal year 2020-2021.
As reported by MarketScreener, Ubisoft broke the news during a recent financial call, with Ubisoft co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot stating that he wants his "teams to have more development time to ensure that their respective innovations are perfectly implemented so as to deliver optimal experiences for players."
"We have decided to postpone the releases of Gods & Monsters, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Watch_Dogs Legion until 2020-21," Guillemot said. "While each of these games already has a strong identity and high potential, we want our teams to have more development time to ensure that their respective innovations are perfectly implemented so as to deliver optimal experiences for players. This decision will have a very significant impact on our financial results for this fiscal year and goes against our recent successes in building a more stable development model. However, it is in line with our strategy to maximize the future value of our brands for the long-term benefit of our employees, players and shareholders. We expect it to have a positive impact on our financial performance as from 2020-21."

Don’t Expect Pokemon Sword and Shield to be Much Bigger than Previous Games
The Wild Area may be a sprawling piece of land in the Galar region, but don’t expect Pokemon Sword and Shield’s main campaign to take much longer to beat than previous entries in the series. In an interview with IGN, producer Junichi Masuda and director Shigeru Ohmori told us how big Pokemon Sword and Shield was compared to the mainline games that came before it.
Ohmori said “it’s hard to say” how Galar compares in size, but “it’s a comparable amount of main adventure content.” Rather than focus on size or game length, the new gameplay elements may have players spending more time in the Galar region while adding “more replayability to these games.” “We always try to surpass ourselves,” says Masuda, “but I think you can expect at least the amount of content that you would have seen in previous generations.”
