Death Stranding on PC Won’t Be Published by Sony
Publisher 505 Games has officially confirmed that it will be publishing Death Stranding on PC. Kojima Productions' console partner Sony is apparently not involved in the PC release.
Kojima Productions’ debut game will launch on PlayStation 4 this November 8, but will later release on PC in summer 2020. Hideo Kojima confirmed this on Twitter, and 505 Games later confirmed its involvement with the game later on.
“We are extremely excited and honored to be working with the supremely talented team at Kojima Productions and to bring Death Stranding to PC gamers around the world,” said 505 Games co-founder and CEO Raffi Galante in a press release. “Death Stranding will take gamers through a completely original experience that will delight PC gamers everywhere.”
Dragon Ball Z Kakarot: Watch Vegeta vs. Majin Buu
When Dragon Ball Z Kakarot was revealed, there was a certain amount of skepticism that it would tackle the entirety of Goku’s adult life. The sprawling martial arts anime epic clocks in at just shy of 300 episodes, and even after cutting out the filler, that’s a lot of story to adapt into a video game. But, sure enough, Kakarot tracks Goku’s adventures from the appearance of Radditz and the first utterance of the word “Saiyan” all the way through the final showdown with Majin Buu, letting players take control of not just Goku, but the whole principle cast of pointy-haired heroes.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but watching almost 20 minutes of uncut gameplay is even better, so have a look for yourself:
You’ve Never Seen a Show Quite Like Apple TV’s See
Get a behind-the-scenes look at Apple TV Plus' See, starring Jason Momoa, in our exclusive video featurette above.
When Apple TV+ launches on November 1, the new streaming service will unveil an eclectic array of original TV shows - some grounded in our reality, like The Morning Show; some exploring an alternate history, like For All Mankind; and some that are utterly fantastical, like See, a post-apocalyptic adventure starring Jason Momoa, created by Peaky Blinders showrunner Steven Knight, and directed by The Hunger Games helmer Francis Lawrence.
The tech giant's ambitious new drama takes place 600 years after a deadly virus decimated humanity and left the few survivors (and their descendants) blind. When two children are born with sight, their adoptive father, Baba Voss (Momoa) must protect the twins and his tribe from those who want to destroy them, including the powerful and desperate Queen Kane (Sylvia Hoeks).
Square Enix Is Hiring For More Kingdom Hearts Staff
Square Enix Osaka is hiring new staff to work on “HD development” for the Kingdom Hearts series.
Square’s Osaka studio has posted a few job listings requesting UI designers, effect designers, and technical artists. The roles are for work on “HD development of the Kingdom Hearts series”, with no further context provided.
The last Kingdom Hearts game was this year’s Kingdom Hearts 3, and no further projects have been announced beyond the Re:Mind expansion due out this winter. “HD development” could simply mean ‘development’ - the games are now in HD after all - but with Square’s history of HD remasters there’s always potential there. Quite what they’d be remastering would be another question, though, as much of the Kingdom Hearts back catalogue is already available for current-gen platforms in HD.
