Nicolas Cage to Play Himself in Meta Drama The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

Nicolas Cage has found himself playing one of the biggest roles that Hollywood has to offer — Nicolas Cage. Starring in an upcoming Lionsgate film, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Cage will be playing himself in the upcoming meta drama.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent will be written by Tom Gormican and Kevin Etten, with Gormican (That Awkward Moment, Ghosted) set to serve as the film's director.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent will feature Nicolas Cage as its main character as he deals with a strained relationship with his teenage daughter while simultaneously trying to land a major movie role. Due to a massive mountain of debt, the fictional Cage character finds himself caught in the crossfire of a Mexican cartel leader and the CIA.

Path of Exile 2 Announced, New Trailer and Gameplay Revealed

Grinding Gear Games announced that it’s making Path of Exile 2, a sequel to its 2013 dungeon crawler. The announcement was made at this year’s ExileCon.

Path of Exile developer Grinding Gear Games announced the sequel with an atmospheric trailer. According to the official website, Path of Exile 2 is a new seven-act storyline that exists alongside the original Path of Exile. Meaning both games lead to a shared Atlas Endgame.

Path of Exile 2 also retains all the expansion content created over the last six years, and adds a new skill system, 19 new Ascendency Class, and features visual improvements and engine upgrades. Grinding Gear Games showed off 14-minutes of Path of Exile 2 gameplay at the event as well.

Gotham’s Joker Cameron Monaghan Reacts to Joaquin Phoenix Movie

Actor Cameron Monaghan gave us a unique spin on the Joker mythos in the show Gotham, and now he’s weighed in on what he thinks of the new Joker movie by director Todd Phillips.

“They did a wonderful job of capturing their vision. And visually I thought that the movie was really well done. The cinematography was some of my favorite of the year. It was a wild ride,” Monaghan told IGN during an interview.

Coincidentally, the Joker movie was shooting at a location close to where Monaghan was filming Gotham, so there were two actors doing two different Jokers at the same time.

Superman and Lois Lane’s Son Revealed in Crisis on Infinite Earth Photos

The Arrowverse's epic Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover is only weeks away, and The CW has revealed the first photos from Supergirl: Season 5's ninth episode, which serves as the opening chapter of the crossover.

This new batch of images show Supergirl, Superman, Martian Manhunter, Brainiac-5, and other series mainstays teaming up with heroes like Green Arrow (both Oliver Queen and his daughter Mia), Harbinger, The Flash, The Atom, and Batwoman. SpongeBob SquarePants Squidward Spinoff Reportedly in the Works for Netflix

Nickelodeon and Netflix announced a partnership earlier this week that is set to "produce original animated feature films and television series" based on popular Nickelodeon characters. It seems that one of these shows will be a SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff series, which will feature everyone's favorite grumpy octopus — Squidward.

While there has been nothing official announced about the Squidward spinoff show from Netflix or Nickelodeon, The New York Times reports that the spinoff is in the works for Netflix. The upcoming show will reportedly be a music-based project that turns the focus off of the lovable sponge and onto the cantankerous octopus. Further details on the Squidward spinoff series are unknown at this time.

Clive Owen will portray former President Bill Clinton in the upcoming season of American Crime Story, according to Deadline.

The third season, which will be called Impeachment: American Crime Story, is centered around the sex scandal of the Clinton presidency. The cast also currently includes Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky, Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, and Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones.

Kevin Feige Asked Mark Ruffalo for Hulk Storyline Ideas

There may be more Hulk stories for the MCU to explore – at least according to Mark Ruffalo.

Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Ruffalo discussed the possibility of returning to the MCU as Bruce Banner.

said, 'Hey, do you think there's any more story left here?'" Ruffalo said of a recent conversation with Marvel boss Kevin Feige. "And I said I could probably come up with a few storylines. And he said, 'Maybe you should come in and we'll have a talk.'"

That being said, Ruffalo also said he did not know whether we would actually see Hulk again in future MCU movies.

Ruffalo also responded to the recent controversy over whether Marvel movies are cinema.
