Baby Yoda Merch Will Be Here in Time for the Holidays
Baby Yoda, the adorable, unexpected star of The Mandalorian, is getting merchandise soon. According to a report from CNBC, shirts, plushes and toys featuring Baby Yoda could arrive as early as Friday - just in time for your holiday shopping.
According to those same sources, Amazon, Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Hot Topic, Box Lunch, and Zazzle are all planning on selling merchandise. Disney will also begin selling Baby Yoda merch at their physical and online stores as well as at the Disney theme parks.
This news arrives on the heels of an interview with ET in which series executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni explained that it was their decision to hold back on any promotional material or Baby Yoda merchandise so as not to spoil the surprise, which has been kept secret until the premiere of The Mandalorian's first episode.
Fortnite Is Hosting Its First Official Fishing Tournament This Weekend
Fortnite will be hosting an epic in-game fishing tournament this weekend for the first time ever. The tournament will be open to everyone and will offer an exclusive Bottom Dweller pickaxe to category winners, as well as the opportunity to win a real-life Fortnite Llama trophy.
Dubbed the Fortnite Fishing Frenzy, the event will be kicking off Friday, November 22 at 5 am PT/8 am ET/1 pm GMT and will wrap things up on Sunday, November 24 at 5 pm PT/8 pm ET/1 am GMT (Nov. 25). The rules for the Fortnite fishing tournament are pretty simple — catch the most fish.
There will be four different categories in the event, which can be seen in the list below. Each category will have one winner per server region, with NAE and NAW servers being combined. If you reign victorious in one of the four categories below in your respective server region, you'll earn yourself a real-life Llama trophy.
Settlers of Catan to Become AR Game With Tech From Pokemon GO
Niantic may be involved with a project to turn the hit boardgame Catan into a Pokemon Go-style AR game.
As originally reported by TechCrunch, the makers of the Settlers of Catan boardgame announced last month that it was working on a “massively multiplayer location-based game” called Catan: World Explorers.
Catan Studios launched a website for Catan: World Explorers and internet sleuths uncovered multiple hidden references to Niantic in the website’s code. When IGN reached out to Niantic, the studio confirmed it was involved with the project in some capacity.

Stargirl Episodes to Air on The CW After DC Universe Debuts
Announced in July 2018 for DC Universe, Stargirl follows Courtney Whitmore, a high school sophomore, and her group of friends as they try to stop villains of the past. Originally planned to be a DC Universe exclusive – Stargirl episodes will air on the CW one day after they debut on DC Universe.
The 13-episode scripted series will be produced by Geoff Johns, Stargirl creator and series showrunner. Johns recently stepped down as DC Entertainment President and CCO, thus has extensive experience in the DC's universe of characters, playing a vital role in the CW adaptations of heroes like the Flash, Arrow, and Batwoman.
Final Fantasy 14 Director Wants to Release the Game on PlayStation 5
Final Fantasy 14 may be coming to PlayStation 5. During a fan event in the UK, Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida referred to a PlayStation 5 version of Square Enix’s hit MMORPG, but the company is being a bit more coy about it than the game’s director.
According to people present at the UK event, Yoshida reportedly said that the developers “are hard at work on FFXIV on PS5.” However, when IGN reached out to Square Enix, the company said that this was not a confirmation.
“While not a confirmation, Yoshida-san expressed a hope that Final Fantasy XIV Online may one day appear on the next generation of Sony console.”
