Stadia Games Not Streaming at 4K Is Down to Developers, Says Google
Google has responded to controversy that sparked after it was found that some Stadia games don’t stream at true 4K resolution.
Since Google Stadia came out last week it’s been discovered that the new gaming platform doesn’t stream the 4K versions of Destiny 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 that are available on other platforms.
Instead, Stadia renders Destiny 2 at 1080p and RDR2 at 1440p and then upscales them to 4K on Chromecast Ultra. This caused some people to complain, as Google vice president Phil Harrison previously said that all Stadia games will support 4K at launch - that isn’t true as two launch games are being upscaled to 4K.

Rian Johnson on How Knives Out Re-Invents the Whodunit for Modern Times
Knives Out writer-director Rian Johnson is poised to unleash his wickedly funny whodunit on audiences; one that puts a very modern spin on the age-old genre. Daniel Craig plays Benoit Blanc, a “gentleman detective” investigating the murder of a member of the family from hell. The Thrombey family is played by the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Chris Evans, and Michael Shannon.
IGN recently caught up with Johnson a few hours before the film played at Fantastic Fest, and we asked about his love of whodunits, the complicated politics of the film, and whether or not certain elements of Knives Out are a reaction to the online fallout from his Star Wars film, The Last Jedi…
Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Part 2 Already Being Worked On
Final Fantasy 7 Remake director Tetsuya Nomura has said that Square Enix has "already begun working on" the next part of the episodic remake of his RPG classic.
In a Square Enix blog to accompany a batch of new screenshots of the game, Nomura sought to quell fears that splitting the original game into distinct chunks would make it a much smaller experience:
"Opportunities for discussing our true intentions are few, but with regard to the size of the game that many are asking about – there’s no reason at all to worry. Even in this Midgar portion alone, the density and volume are so great that I had to give directions to lighten them.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Movie Clip Revealed
The first clip from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been released online, showing more footage from the Pasaana speeder chase that has been teased in previous promotional materials for Episode IX.
The 30-second desert pursuit shows Resistance heroes Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewbacca, C-3PO and BB-8 as fugitives on the run from a band of bike-riding First Order Stormtroopers, who unleash an upgrade to their armour, as they blast off to the skies using newly-fitted jetpacks.
One by one, the white-suited soldiers launch into the air, as Chewie lets out a Wookiee roar to alert his unsuspecting teammates of the new threat. C-3PO translates, exclaiming, "Oh, they fly now!", while Finn and Poe echo the protocol droid's surprise at the Stormtrooper's advanced capabilities.
