Uno Removes Red and Blue Color Cards to Avoid Politics
While video games continue to grapple with whether or not they want to lean into politics, a decidedly less turbulent franchise is making the move to remove all politics from the kitchen table. Mattel explicitly states on Uno Nonpartisan’s product page that “without Red or Blue cards the focus can stay on the game,” referencing the politicized color spectrum of the Republican party and the Democratic party.
