Daisy Ridley On Why Baby Yoda Will Save Us All
Daisy Ridley has expressed her love for Baby Yoda. Because, well, who wouldn’t?
Ridley, who plays Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, has been down on cute mascot characters in the past, most notably venting her disdain for the puffin-like creatures called porgs that inhabit the remote island where Rey trained with Luke in The Last Jedi.
However, when asked about The Mandalorian’s adorable quintagenarian Force user during a promotional trip to Tokyo to promote Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Ridley, told IGN Japan, “I actually really like Baby Yoda! When we were doing press for The Last Jedi, people kept asking me about the Porgs. I don't really like the Porgs.” When asked why, she joked deadpan, “I think they’re overrated. I worked a lot harder than any of the Porgs!”
Watchmen’s Season Finale Ending Explained
Warning: Full spoilers for the entire first season of HBO's Watchmen follow...
Watchmen Season 1 ended with episode 9, the stunning, action-packed "See How they Fly" - a chapter that not only contained the emotional, fated death of Dr. Manhattan, but the possible ascension to God-like status of one Angela Abar.
So did it work? Was the omnipotent Jon Osterman able to transfer the atomic components of his body into organic material that could be consumed by another? And with that absorption, did the other person gain Dr. Manhattan's full powers?
Well, the long and the short of it is: The episode didn't give us the final answer. It stopped right as Angela's foot was about to touch the water of her swimming pool: We didn't observe her actually walking on it.

WWE TLC: The Women’s TLC Match Was Brutal and Glorious
TLC is WWE's final PPV of the year - and from the looks of things, it also might be the flimsiest.
Flimsiest on paper, anyhow. Only seven matches have been booked, one of which is an "open challenge," and no singles world championships are being defended. Bray isn't wrestling as "The Fiend" and his Universal Championship isn't on the line against Miz (we don't get to see his custom belt?). Becky Lynch hasn't defended her Raw Women's Championship properly since facing Sasha Banks at Hell in a Cell. And Brock is...well, no one expected Brock to show up for this one.
Also, nothing's booked between Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens. Of course, Seth is reportedly hurt and Kevin might be staying off-air to sell his "injuries" from last Monday.
Gal Gadot Explains Why She Doesn’t Use Her Sword in WW84

In an interview with Gamesindustry.biz, Wizards of the Coast President Chris Cocks revealed that "seven or eight" games ranging in size are planned for the popular role-playing franchise over the next few years.
Dwayne Johnson Responds to His Reference in Sonic the Hedgehog Movie
With the redesigned Sonic the Hedgehog movie scheduled to hit theaters in February, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, whose new movie Jumanji: The Next Level just knocked Frozen 2 off the top of the box office, has chimed in on the Sonic trailer's notable nod to him.
In the trailer, Sonic crashes into a power grid and, in a delirious state, asks "What year is it? Is The Rock president?" Now Johnson has commented on the joke, pointing out how surreal life can be at times. Check out his tweet...

Spoilers for Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels series follow:

In an interview with Japanese news outlet Sora News 24 (via StarWarsNews.net), The Rise of Skywalker director J.J. Abrams alluded pretty bluntly to an Ahsoka cameo of some sort in the upcoming film, which releases on December 20. Here’s that exchange between Abrams and the reporter.
J.J. Abrams Responds to Fan Frustrations With the Star Wars Sequels
Together with producer Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams rebooted Star Wars and made it relevant for a whole new generation. While the sequel trilogy has been a huge success in terms of revitalizing the franchise, there has also been criticism that the arc of the trilogy as a whole was not well planned and that passing off between directors and writers did not go well.
During a press trip to Tokyo, J.J. Abrams, director of The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker, addressed fan criticisms that the sequel trilogy has suffered from a lack of cohesion. Speaking to IGN Japan, Abrams reflected on the hits and misses of his work on the series, on the eve of the release of Episode 9.
Jumanji Tops the Box Office, Frozen 2 Crosses One Billion
So how was the box office the weekend before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker?
Well, not surprisingly, Jumanji: The Next Level -- starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart -- landed at number one with an estimated $60.1 million. That's almost double the debut of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which opened with $36 million.
The film knocked Frozen 2 off its perch, after the Disney sequel ruled for three weeks, and will close in on $200 million worldwide by the end of the weekend.
Frozen 2 continued to rake in cash, of course, holding on solidly to the number two spot with $19.2 million, making for a $366 million total domestically. Variety reports too that it's now officially the sixth Disney film in 2019 to hit $1 billion.
