I Miss the Brothers in Arms Series
I remember a time before Borderlands became a runaway hit. Before Duke Nukem Forever arrived a decade too late. Before the whole Aliens: Colonial Marines fiasco and long before headlines for all the wrong reasons. I remember when Gearbox felt like the most earnest development studio and studio-head Randy Pitchford seemed endearingly passionate.
Indeed, it was Pitchford’s passion that drew my attention to the Brothers in Arms series in 2004, when I stumbled on pre-release footage of the series’ first game, Road to Hill 30, while looking for info about Ghost Recon 2 on Ubisoft’s website.
Marvel’s WandaVision: Disney Plus Moves Up Release Date to 2020
To kick off the new year, Disney has announced that it is moving up the release date for Marvel's WandaVision. Originally planned for a Spring 2021 release, WandaVision will now be coming to Disney+ sometime in 2020.
Revealed by Disney+ on Twitter, the New Year's Day announcement was made with little pomp and could have gone unnoticed as it was initially included within a list of titles coming to the service in 2020.
A lot is still unknown about the series, however, Marvel head Kevin Feige recently revealed the show would focus on Wanda Maximoff becoming Scarlet Witch —something that has been overlooked so far in her big screen story.

The Best Anime of the Decade (2010 – 2019)
Every year we're treated to a swath of great anime series; from shoujo that pull at heartstrings, to intense shonen staples that always promise excellent action, there are so many different kinds of anime to look forward to. In the past decade, we've seen anime continue through its moe phase and bring forth tons of new isekai. Much like our Best Games of the Decade and Best TV Shows of the Decade, we wanted to celebrate all the incredible anime series that came out from 2010 through 2019.
This list is not ranked but is organized by an anime's release year. We opted to list only the first season of each show with few exceptions in order to highlight more anime from the last ten years.

10 Video Game Tropes to Leave in the Last Decade
A new decade is almost upon us, meaning it’s a time for reflection and gratitude. But it is also a time for bitching about all the trends and tropes we hated from the last ten years in gaming. Guess which one I'm about to do?
That’s right, it's time to talk about the top 10 gaming tropes (we should leave in the last decade).
Flip through the slideshow above or scroll down the page for my full list.
1. Audio Logs, Emails, Memos, Notes, and Diaries for “Worldbuilding”
Anything that takes you out of the game to dispense lore that doesn’t advance the plot or expand on the world in a meaningful way should be abolished. My least favorite are the ones that stop playing or get real quiet whenever another character starts talking…in a game where characters never stop talking. What about the ones that clip off when you reach a story checkpoint just inches away? Are you supposed to just stand there and listen? I don’t have time for that, I have aliens/bandits/demons/enemy soldiers/whatever that need shooting.
33 Movies That Were Supposed to Come Out Last Decade But Didn’t
The 2010s are officially behind us, and with them dozens of movies that never actually hit their intended release dates during that decade.
Over the past 10 years, there are a number of movies we have extensively reported on through development leaps and setbacks -- directors joining, directors leaving, release dates changing, studios being purchased, etc. -- that just never actually came out during that time period.
In the spirit of looking back at the decade that was, we rounded up 33 major theatrical releases that were intended to be released before 2020, but never actually were. Some of these were canceled, some of them fizzled out into nothingness, and some of them are actually still intended to be released. One thing is for certain: reading this article will make you realize just how hard it actually can be to make a movie in Hollywood.

The Best Comics of the Decade (2010 – 2019)
As another decade dawns for the comic book industry, it only makes sense to look back on the best comics of the past ten years. The 2010's were certainly a time of major upheaval, from DC's New 52 reboot to Archie Comics drastically reinventing itself to the rise of digital comics. But through it all, it was never not a great time to be reading comics.
After plenty of thought a debate, we've put together a list of the 100 best comics of the 2010's. This list includes ongoing series, miniseries and graphic novels. The only qualifier is that these projects had to begin in 2010 or later (which is why books like Locke & Key or Geoff Johns' Green Lantern didn't make the cut). All of these picks are equally deserving of being considered the best of the decade, hence why the list is ordered alphabetically rather than ranked.
