Netflix has released a creepy new teaser for The Haunting of Hill House Season 2, inviting fans to call Bly Manor to schedule an interview for a "live-in nanny" role. The Haunting Twitter page shared a photo of a "help wanted" advertisement featured inside a newspaper, which appears to be submerged underwater. "Seeking au pair for two perfectly splendid children at the Bly Manor residence," the ad reads. "Manor is located on the English countryside. Positions begin immediately."

A telephone number is printed directly below the vacancy for potential applicants to call to schedule an interview. However, when fans dial the number +44 1273 915253, they are greeted with a voicemail recorded by one of the Wingrave children, who explains that the "perfectly splendid" interviews will be conducted by Uncle Henry in "five days" time. Since the ad was posted on August 26, the referenced timeframe might indicate that something significant about Bly Manor will be released on August 31, though, for now, this is only speculation. While the photo presents an idyllic picture, fans were encouraged to "look beneath the surface" in the official poster for the anthology series.

The Haunting of Bly Manor is set to adapt Henry James' 1898 novel The Turn of the Screw, which is widely regarded as one of the best and most influential horror novels ever written. The novella is narrated by an unnamed protagonist, who recounts the details of a manuscript written by a governess. This manuscript relays the governess' experiences caring for two children at Bly Manor and her slow realization that the grounds may be haunted. The Turn of the Screw has been adapted to film, stage, and TV numerous times, most famously in the form of 1961's The Innocents. Ryan McCaffrey sat down with Keighley to discuss a wide range of topics in the latest episode of IGN Unfiltered, including his friendship with Hideo Kojima, Keighley's storied history with awards shows, the cancellation of E3, what the 2020 Game Awards will be like, and much, much more. Microsoft has revealed the next set of Xbox Games With Gold titles that will be free in September, with Tom Clancy's The Division as its headliner. Alongside the original game in the pandemic spec-ops multiplayer series, Xbox is giving away The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, and backwards compatibility games de Blob 2 (Xbox 360) and Armed and Dangerous (Xbox). Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will run at 4K resolution and with refresh rates of 120hz on next-gen consoles. In an interview with Venture Beat, Treyarch studio co-head Dan Bunting said: "We want to make sure that the framerate is responsive, and that it feels like there’s nothing on the technical side preventing you from having a good time.” [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/08/26/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-reveal-trailer"] Supporting a refresh rates of 120hz means the potential of up to 120fps. The article does not state if Cold War will be locked at 120fps on next-gen, but if the PS5 and Xbox Series X are capable of such frame rates in 4K with the graphical fidelity shown in the new trailer, then it's a seriously strong showing. In addition to high frame rates, the PS5 version of the game will also support haptic feedback, while both consoles' SSD drives mean that Cold War has no loading screens between cinematics and gameplay. And, not to miss out on next-gen's flagship tech, the game features real-time ray tracing. That's a lot to render at 120fps. If you're hoping for this kind of performance it's worth seeing what your TV can output. But even 4K/60fps from Cold War is likely to look impressive. If you're not up to date with this year's COD, Black Ops Cold War is a return to the original BlOps team of Mason, Woods, and Hudson and is set in 1981. The Call of Duty League Championship is this weekend and Activision is giving away a unique prize to this year's best Call of Duty team: A throne. Alongside the annual trophy and championship ring awarded to the winning Call of Duty esports team, this year's winner will receive a throne designed by Sheron Barber. Barber has designed for artists like Drake, Billie Eilish, Rihanna, and Post Malone, but is now teaming up with the Call of Duty League for the prize throne. While the throne isn't fully built yet, you can check out a design of it below. The inspirations for the throne come from cubism and classic arcade machines. It will also be customized for the winning team to include the Championship date, as well as names and player statistics from the season. After more than a year of speculation about the possibility of Netflix developing a Resident Evil series, the streaming giant has finally confirmed that a live-action adaptation of Capcom's legendary survival-horror franchise is in the works. According to Netflix, Resident Evil will tell a brand new story across two timelines. Here's how Netflix describes the Resident Evil show in a brief synopsis: "In the first timeline, fourteen-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker are moved to New Raccoon City. A manufactured, corporate town, forced on them right as adolescence is in full swing. But the more time they spend there, the more they come to realize that the town is more than it seems and their father (editor's note: Albert Wesker, we presume!) may be concealing dark secrets. Secrets that could destroy the world. Cut to the second timeline, well over a decade into the future: there are less than fifteen million people left on Earth. And more than six billion monsters -- people and animals infected with the T-virus. Jade, now thirty, struggles to survive in this New World, while the secrets from her past - about her sister, her father, and herself - continue to haunt her."
