Animal Crossing: Get a Tour of Joe Biden’s Island This Friday
Kinda Funny co-founder and IGN alum Greg Miller and screenwriter and Animal Talking's Gary Whitta have teamed up with United States Presidential candidate Joe Biden's campaign to show off the official Biden Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Miller and Whitta will be the first to show off Biden Island tomorrow, October 16, at 11am PT/2pm ET/7pm BST on Twitch.TV/KindaFunnyGames, and the tour will take place live in-game.
This showcase takes place only a little over two weeks away from the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election on November 3, 2020, and is another example of these campaigns adapting in a world still impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as taking advantage of current and popular forms of entertainment.
Joe Biden's island is another example of celebrities making a home for themselves in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. IGN recently hosted a Celebrity Island Tours series where we had such stars as The Last of Us Part 2's Laura Bailey, What's Good Games Andrea Rene, Marvel's Shang-Chi's Simu Liu, WWE's Xavier Woods, and Gary Whitta himself.

This Biden Island tour is taking place during Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Fall Update and Halloween event, and you can check out everything added to the game in our Wiki Guide.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting a potential remaster of the Mass Effect Trilogy for what feels like forever, and it seems it may be closer than we think.
As reported by Gematsu, the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has rated an unannounced Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=every-ign-bioware-game-review&captions=true"]
Just last month a Portuguese retailer listed the Mass Effect Trilogy for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, but nothing has been announced since the listings went up.
November 7th marks N7 Day, a day where BioWare celebrates the rich Mass Effect history with fans of the series. Generally, it includes announcements and updates of upcoming projects for the Mass Effect franchise.
Last year's N7 day was a bit underwhelming, adding in Mass Effect-themed emotes to the floundering Anthem — just months before the team at BioWare began rebuilding it from the ground up due to negative criticism and fan feedback.
[ignvideo width=610 height=374 url=https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/02/06/billie-eilishs-secret-mass-effect-connection-ign-daily-fix]
After the disappointing launch of Mass Effect Andromeda, fans have been clamoring for a new entry in the series. While BioWare is currently working on Dragon Age 4, rumors began circulating late last year that a new entry in the Mass Effect series was in early development.
In an interview with BioWare's Executive Producer Mark Darrah, he reaffirmed they are, "definitely not done with Mass Effect," along with saying, "there's a lot of stories to be told."
While it's unlikely we'll see a new proper Mass Effect game anytime soon, we'll happily settle for that remaster trilogy in the meantime.

Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire: Vehicles, Fashions and Stadia Release Date Revealed
The latest episode of Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire revealed new details about the game’s vehicles and fashion styles, as well as the Stadia release date.
Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a wide variety of vehicles that players can use to drive/ride around Night City, and they’re divided into five different categories: economy, executive, heavy duty, sport, and hypercars.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/10/15/cyberpunk-2077-vehicle-classes-trailer"]
Economy rides are “utility and low-end clunkers”, and essentially the cheap junk cars of 2077. Executive cars are your higher-end models, with plush interiors and the latest tech. Heavy duty vehicles are trucks and tanks that can be used for brute force maneuvers and ramming. Sports are exactly what they sound like, and feature exchangeable parts for tuning. Hypercars, meanwhile, are Bugatti-style top-end beasts designed for luxury speed.
Every car in Cyberpunk 2077 is unique, with fully rendered interiors, and can even vary in aesthetic depending on what area of the city you steal it from. Plus, in addition to the wide variety of original vehicles created for the universe, Night City also is home to some real-world cars, including Johnny Silverhand’s 1977 Porsche 911.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/10/15/keanu-reeves-helps-bring-motorcycles-to-life-in-night-city"]
CD Projekt Red also confirmed that when cars are purchased from a fixer, they can be summoned in much the same way as Geralt can call for his horse Roach in The Witcher.
Cars can be used for transportation as well as races, which take place both in off-road Badlands locations and on the streets of the inner-city. Apparently guns may be required during races, so they sound like violent affairs.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/10/15/cyberpunk-2077-the-styles-of-night-city-trailer"]
Alongside cars and bikes, CDPR also showed off the fashion styles of Night City. There are four to opt for: Kitsch, which is a poppy combination of neon and chrome; Entropism, which is essentially future hillbilly; Neomilitarism, which features corporate designs that are substance over style; and finally Neokitsch, a sort of gentrified version of kitsch worn by celebrities.
Finally, CDPR also announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on Google Stadia on November 19, the same day as PC and consoles. Pre-orders for this cloud-based version are available now.

Darkwing Duck Returns To Ducktales in Exclusive Clip
Disney's legendary masked superhero, Darkwing Duck, finally makes his triumphant return to television during the upcoming one-hour episode of DuckTales, titled "Let's Get Dangerous!"
According to a synopsis from Disney, in this adventure, "after stopping a break-in at Scrooge's St. Canard Lab, Darkwing gains an unlikely sidekick, Gosalyn, as he uncovers a dark conspiracy tied to the Missing Mysteries and one of Scrooge's employees."
IGN can exclusively reveal a clip featuring Darkwing Duck himself in the video below (or watch it at the top of the page):
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/10/15/ducktales-exclusive-darkwing-duck-clip"]
In an exclusive interview with DuckTales executive producer Matt Youngberg and co-executive producer/story editor Francisco Angones, IGN learned why the creators decided to bring Darkwing Duck back.
"Darkwing Duck was one of the most iconic series of our childhoods," Youngberg told IGN. "The original series’ blend of broad slapstick, clever wordplay, superheroic action, and genuine heart had a profound influence on us creatively as kids, and there is a lot of that influence cooked into the DNA of our new DuckTales series. It is hands down Frank's favorite cartoon of all time."
Angones spoke about how the episode is "an exciting opportunity to explore Darkwing’s legacy as well specifically what kind of hero the purple protector of the persecuted wants to be. He’s new to the gig, he’s got the cool gadgets and costumes, the high-tech hidden lair, an endless supply of catchphrases, everything he needs to fight crime. But when Gosalyn crashes into his life, Darkwing will discover who he’s actually fighting for."

The all-new animated special will follow the events of The Rise of Skywalker, with Rey setting off on a quest to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force ahead of Life Day. While visiting a mysterious Jedi Temple, she will be hurled into a cross-timeline adventure that sees her come into contact with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan, and other iconic heroes and villains from the saga.
The latest casting news has confirmed that Lando Calrissian and C-3PO will also play a role in that adventure. Speaking about the returning franchise stars, executive producer James Waugh told EW: "Williams had such great, positive energy around the whole project and, of course, we couldn't do C-3PO without Anthony Daniels and he brought his magic to the character."

Kelly Marie Tran, who starred as Rose Tico in the sequel trilogy, will also play a significant part in the story, which is split into two parts. The first part will take place on Kashyyyk where Rey, Poe, Rose, and Finn are all preparing for the galaxy's most cheerful and magical holiday, while the second part will follow Rey's escapades at the Jedi Temple.
"[Rose] has a really prominent role throughout the story," Waugh explained. "Rose's role in this it [sic] to really takes charge she basically saves the day, in many ways. We wanted to make sure we got a lot of Kelly in as Rose was going to be an essential part of whatever [the Resistance heroes'] future was going to be after Episode IX and she was a blast to work with."

The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special is a production of Atomic Cartoons, the LEGO Group, and Lucasfilm. It is directed by Ken Cunningham and written by David Shayne, who is also co-executive producer. Waugh, Josh Rimes, Jason Cosler, Jacqui Lopez, Jill Wilfert, and Keith Malone are attached as additional executive producers on the project.
The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special hits Disney+ on November 17, the same day that the original Star Wars holiday special aired on CBS in 1978.

PS5 User Interface Officially Revealed By Sony
The PS5 UI has been revealed by Sony.
The news arrives as part of a PlayStation blog post, which digs into the new console's user experience and reveals a few new features coming to the PlayStation 5 when it launches next month.
One of the highlights of the new system is the Control Center, which provides "immediate access to almost everything you need from the system," and can be summoned by pressing the PlayStation button on the new DualSense controller. From the Control Center you can see who is online, check the status of downloads, manage your controllers and more. A special 11-minute State of Play showcase launched alongside the blog post, providing an in-depth look at the PS5's UX, which was designed with 4K TVs in mind.
[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=ps5-ui-screenshots&captions=true"]
There's also a brand new feature called Activities which lets players "discover new gameplay opportunities, go back to things you missed, jump directly into levels or challenges you want to play, and much more." Activity cards can be accessed directly from the control centre, and some can be viewed picture-in-picture, meaning you won't have to leave the game to see them.
An example is shown from Sackboy: A Big Adventure, where the user can open up an activity card relating to a level in progress to see objectives they still need to complete. From this menu, they can also find out the estimated playtime necessary to complete the level. If they wish to, players can press resume on an Activity to warp to the chosen level, and if the user is a PlayStation Plus subscriber, they can also get access to Game Help, where if they tap one of the objectives they can see screenshots and video clips that can be pinned to the screen and will guide them towards the solution.
Users will also be able to join parties and games hosted by their friends directly from the control centre, switching between games with pace thanks to the PS5's SSD. A new media sharing system also allows you to dictate captions for screenshots before sharing them, and screenshots will be shrouded with a spoiler warning for players who may not have seen that part of the game yet.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/10/15/first-look-at-the-ps5-ui"]
Sony also notes that they have "rebuilt the entire software stack form the console to the network" to make the user experience faster. "We believe the less time you spend waiting to interact with the system, the more time you will have to spend playing games," the article explains.
In other PS5 news, we recently learned that the console's cooling fan determined the size of the next-gen console.
