Netflix Reveals The First Page of The Witcher’s Second Season Script

Netflix has released the first page of the script for season 2 of The Witcher, and it appears to begin to tell A Grain of Truth - a short story that was featured in The Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski's The Last Wish. Revealed by Netflix as part of its Witchmas Celebration, the words on this script share many similarities to A Grain of Truth, including dialogue, the manor, and the untimely fate of the merchant and his wife. Geralt's VO, on the other hand, appears to be taken from the short story Something More from Sword of Destiny. [caption id="attachment_2456399" align="aligncenter" width="720"]Via Netflix Image Credit: Netflix[/caption] Without spoiling what happens, this story also includes a man by the name of Nivellen, who is set to be played by Game of Thrones' Kristofer Hivju, and is another hint that this story will be part of season 2. Netflix's Witchmas has also gifted fans of The Witcher with season 2 set photos, a logo for the Witcher anime movie Nightmare of the Wolf, and much more. The Witcher season 2 is scheduled to be released on Netflix in 2021, and we've gathered everything we know about the upcoming story in one place. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/12/27/the-witcher-season-1-review"] In our review of The Witcher's first season, we said it "is unconventional and messy. It’s failed by its convoluted structure, which ultimately restricts character growth, and prevents the show from having any true sense of depth. This makes for an unsatisfying big picture, but thankfully there are plenty of things to enjoy in its individual components." [poilib element="accentDivider"] Have a tip for us? UK Retailer Selling Mario Perfume That Makes You Smell Like… a Plumber?

If you’ve ever wondered what Mario’s goomba-covered overalls smell like, UK retailer GAME says it has an answer.

GAME announced it’s getting into the video game-themed perfume business with two new unisex scents: “Eau de Plumber” and “FPS” (or First-Person Scent).

According to the product description, Eau de Plumber (which is careful to avoid any actual Mario branding) features “deep earthy notes of toadstool, balanced with high notes of peach and daisy, and mid-tones of grass lands.”

“This brand-new unisex fragrance is lovingly crafted for the busy gamer on the go. Significant other kidnapped by giant reptilian tyrant? Rushing from one side of town to the other with a strict time limit of 300 seconds? Eau De Plumber has you covered and brings a whole new meaning to words ‘toilet water’.”

FPS, shaped like a grenade, is an obvious ode to the first-person shooter genre. GAME describes it as “best appreciated from thirty feet away and slightly gunpowdery and is a celebration of the nation’s love of popular FPS games,” which is certainly a way to sell cologne.

Both 200ml bottles (which appear to be going in and out of stock) are £19.99 a piece and can be purchased through GAME.co.uk. We won’t judge. [poilib element="accentDivider"] Joseph Knoop is a writer/producer/man who is totally willing to review this for IGN wink wink nudge nudge.

Cyberpunk 2077 Sold Over 13 Million Copies As of December 20, Despite Refunds

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that it has sold-through over 13 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077 as of December 20, even with most refund requests factored in. Announced by CD Projekt Red, this number included all retail and digital sales across all hardware platforms, and has accounted for all refunds submitted by both brick-and-mortar stores and digital storefronts, except for those submitted directly to CD Projekt Red. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/12/10/cyberpunk-2077-pc-review"] "This figure represents the estimated volume of retail sales across all hardware platforms (factoring in returns submitted by retail clients in brick-and-mortar as well as digital storefronts), i.e. the “sell-through” figure, less all refund requests e-mailed directly to the Company by the publication date of this report in the framework of the “Help Me Refund” campaign." CDPR wrote. CDPR chose to disclose this information in this way due to the "potential impact on investment-related decisions." Cyberpunk 2077 launched on December 10, and had already sold 8 million copies and recouped all of its marketing and development costs before it was released. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/12/18/sony-pulls-cyberpunk-2077-from-ps-store-will-offer-refunds"] The refunds were in-part due to the major performance and technical issues players had with Cyberpunk 2077, especially on base Xbox One and PS4 units. This led to CDPR, Sony, and Microsoft all allowing for refunds above and beyond what is normally allowed. Furthermore, Sony removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS Store indefinitely. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/12/22/xbox-january-2021-games-with-gold-trailer"] IGN's Little Nightmares review called it "gleefully strange, unceasingly grim, and quietly smart." A sequel is coming to both Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on February 11, 2021. The Dead Rising remaster provides visual and performance enhancements to the 2006 original, bringing the resolution and frame rate up to 1080p and 60fps, respectively. As for the game itself, IGN's Dead Rising review awarded it an 8.3. King of Fighters XIII and Breakdown will both be available through backwards compatibility on Xbox.
