The Pokemon Company and P-Bandai have announced a new Gengar pillow that allows you to rest your head inside Gengar's mouth and people are very excited about it...for reasons. There's no judgment here though — everyone has those days where you just want to go home and curl up inside the head of the totally-sweet-and-not-at-all-scary Pokemon, Gengar. Thanks to The Pokemon Company and P-Bandai, that's now possible with their new Gengar pillow cushion for the price of 25,950 yen, or $249.54. The pillow sold out in just over an hour, as noted by Pokeshopper, but perhaps a second wave of pillows will be announced. Not only can you rest your head inside this Gengar's pillowy mouth, but you can use the cushion's 5 feet, 5 inches long tongue as a blanket to wrap yourself up in or lay on for additional comfort. As you might expect, the internet is going wild for this new pillow and there are already plenty of memes, jokes, and fears circulating social media. Here are just a few of IGN's favorites:

"Rumor has it that its gigantic mouth leads not into its body, filled with cursed energy, but instead directly into the afterlife," reads the Pokedex entry for Gengar in Pokemon Sword. So maybe reconsider before putting your head in. The Pokemon Shield entry says, "it lays traps, hoping to steal the lives of those it catches" and that "if you stand in front of its mouth, you'll hear your loved ones' voices calling out to you." If you’ve got an Nvidia GPU, you probably want to download the latest update as soon as possible to avoid a security issue. Nvidia has released GPU driver that addresses security issues on Windows and Linux that may lead to denial of service, escalation of privileges, and information leaks, PC Gamer reports.

Nvidia users will want to download update version 461.09 on Windows or 460.32.03 on Linux. The most severe security threat involves a weakness found in the kernel mode layer handler for DxgkDdiEscape.

On the official CVSS scale for tech vulnerabilities, that security issue rates a hefty 8.4 out of 10, meaning it’s a “high” threat to your PC.

All that said, one bright note is that the vulnerability in question requires the perpetrator to access your hardware locally, significantly lowering the risk.

Nvidia notes that other vulnerabilities with virtual desktops (a 7.8 rating that also requires a local access) have been addressed in the update.

Other issues the update addresses include:

• FPS counter appearing over Windows Mail and Calendar apps.

• GeForce GTX 750 Ti: Blue screen crash

• GeForce GTX 1080 Ti: Desktop screen flickering, system freezing

• Enabling HDR causing black levels to be incorrect

Ultimately, don’t worry too much if you’re on a secure network, but still make sure to update your drivers sooner rather than later to avoid serious repercussions.

As Twitch tries to find a replacement for the incredibly popular ‘PogChamp’ emote, which was removed earlier this week, the streaming platform announced a novel temporary solution: every 24 hours, Twitch will randomly choose a new streamer emote to serve as a temporary ‘PogChamp’ emote. 'PogChamp' is one of the more popular emotes on Twitch and the original emote was based on fighting game player Ryan “Gootecks” Gutierrez. Twitch removed it earlier this week following a Tweet by Gutierrez that Twitch says called for further violence following the attack on Capitol Hill. Twitch also disabled Trump's Twitch channel following the insurgency. Sean Plott, the esports commentator known as Day9, suggested that Twitch should create a database of streamers, and whenever someone types ‘PogChamp’ Twitch should display one of those faces at random.

In the spirit of figuring out 2021 together, let’s just roll with it for now!” The company added, “Get ready for a new PogChamp every 24 hours, starting today.” In the days following the removal of Gooteck’s ‘PogChamp’ emote, prominent streamers have submitted ideas for replacements. Some have suggested their own faces for the next emote, while others have suggested third-party reaction images such as Nic Cage’s face, for example. The ‘PogChamp’ emote was often used during moments of incredible excitement, usually during fighting games, but it has spilled over into wider Twitch culture. Twitch says it’s now looking to replace the emote with another that can be used similarly during moments of “hype,” as the company says. Marvel's WandaVision will air two episodes when it premieres on Friday, January 15. Disney has said, "the first 2 episodes will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, January 15. Episode 3 will debut on Friday, January 22." We already know that Episode 1 will be based on '50s/'60s sitcoms, was filmed in black and white, and was even filmed in front of a live studio audience. It will also feature an original theme tune by Frozen songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Where it goes from there is an interesting question, as the show will pay homage to multiple eras of US sitcoms throughout. WandaVision will centre on Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) - two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives, who begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. Bettany previously referred to WandaVision as the "oddest of all the Marvel endeavours so far," calling it a "super avant-garde and weird" project. We're expecting the show to draw on elements of the groundbreaking House of M comic book storyline, after some clues cspotted in previous trailers.

The 9-episode run will take in multiple sitcom styles, even nodding to modern mockumentary sitcoms like The Office. But fear not, the show also includes sequences akin to a "full-on action movie", according Monica Rambeau actress Teyonah Parris.

Roku has officially acquired Quibi's library of content, less than three months after the bite-sized entertainment streaming service shut down. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Roku has now bought exclusive global distribution rights to more than 75 short-form shows in an effort to expand the company's free-to-stream, ad-supported offering on The Roku Channel. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however, a source familiar with the agreement was said to have valued the content library at "significantly less than $100 million." The Roku blog notes that the "quick bites and big stories made famous on Quibi" will be available to stream on The Roku Channel later this year, giving audiences access to "hundreds of hours of new content," which will be free to watch on the platform. The catalog includes everything from Sophie Turner's thriller Survive to Chrissy Teigen's courtroom comedy Chrissy's Court. Brad Venable – who provided his voice acting talents to Devil May Cry 5, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, multiple anime series and more – has died aged 43. Multiple members of the voice acting community have today posted tributes to Venable, having been given permission to share the news by Venable's wife. No cause of death has been announced at time of publish.

Treyarch has confirmed that a mid-season update for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will arrive on Thursday, January 14, adding new maps and modes to the game's Multiplayer and Zombies modes. This map will complement a new Fireteam mode called Dropkick, a 6 v 6 battle where players must "fight for control of the nuclear codes". SNK Corporation has formally revealed The King of Fighters XV by debuting gameplay and showing off six characters. The game will launch later this year. The announcement was initially postponed on Wednesday and suffered a brief delay. Characters shown off in a new trailer (below) include K', Kyo Kusanagi, Leona, Benimaru, Shun'ei and Mai Shiranui. Not much in the way of detail is added, but we get a good look at the game's visual style, which looks to be a little more stylised than KOF 14. The developers are currently "brushing up features and optimizing the game," but plan to ship in 2021. Another trailer for The King of Fighters XV will land next week to supplement the reveal. Samurai Shodown will also receive a game reblance in March. KOF XV was announced during EVO 2019, and we got our first glimpse of the game back in December 2020, which revealed that in addition to the characters mentioned above, Benimaru would be playable.
