The Division 2 Will Get a Brand-New Game Mode in ‘Late 2021 At the Earliest’
Ubisoft has shared a bit more info on the big update coming to The Division 2 in late 2021 at the earliest, including that there will be a brand-new game mode and new ways to progress your agent.
The Division 2 development team shared the update, following up on its recent confirmation that more content was on the way and that Title Update 12 was no longer going to be the last major update to the game.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/02/02/division-2-on-ps5-14-minutes-of-4k-60fps-gameplay"]
While the team didn't reveal too much, they did tease that this new game mode is "entirely new to the franchise." Furthermore, the team is "investigating new ways to progress your agent with an emphasis on increasing build variety and viability."
Development on this new update is still in its early stages and will take several months to complete, according to the team, and it is currently scheduled to release in late 2021 at the earliest. The goal is to make "meaningful change to the game," so the necessary time will be taken to ensure that can come true.
Until the update is ready, Ubisoft Massive will be re-running previous seasons released during Year 2. This means that the next season - Season 5 - will be a re-run of Season 1 and will give players a chance to collect rewards and collectibles that they may have missed the first time around. There will also be regular Leagues and Global Events, new Apparel Events, and minor Title Updates focused on game health.

Ubisoft Massive also revealed that The Division 2 has seen over 40 million players and that March 2020 saw the highest activity for the game since its launch in February 2019.
Development on The Division 2 will continue on as the studio also works on creating its Avatar game and the recently announced open-world Star Wars project.

Ant-Man Is the Latest Marvel Superhero to Join Fortnite
Ant-Man is the latest Marvel superhero to arrive in Fortnite, and the teases leading up to his arrival were a tiny bit hilarious.
The Fortnite Team announced that Ant-Man will be arriving in the Item Shop alongside the Toothpick Pickaxe and Ant-Man's trusty steed, Ant-Tonio, as Back Bling.
While Ant-Man joining Fortnite is a wonderful thing on its own, the teases leading up to his official announcement were just as great. Fortnite's Twitter shared three different images of small Ant-Man on other Marvel characters, including Cable, Blade, and Captain America. You can see all the images in the slideshow below.

Ant-Man is the latest Marvel superhero to join Fortnite, and the latest pop culture crossover character since Ripley and the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise.
This addition is surely a welcome one for fans of Ant-Man, who have to wait until 2022 to see Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Peña are all returning for the third Ant-Man film, with Peyton Reed once again directing.
It has been reported that Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors has been cast in a major villain role, and their sources claim he will be playing Kang the Conqueror.

Genshin Impact’s Next Update Adds a Dating Sim and the Windblume Festival
Genshin Impact's version 1.4 update, which arrives on March 17, will add the Windblume Festival, a mini-dating sim, a new 4-star character named Rosaria "Thorny Benevolence," and much more.
As detailed on PlayStation.Blog, the Windblume Festival will be available to all players who are at Adventure Rank 20 or above and have completed the Archon Quest "Song of the Dragon and Freedom."
[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=genshin-impact-version-14-update-screenshots&captions=true"]
As for this dating sim, players will have a chance to spend time with Barbara, Noelle, Bennett, and Chongyun, and there will be different endings and memories depending on your choices and interactions with each character. Furthermore, each actual ending will award players with a Hangout Memory Illustration.
The Windblume Festival, which is a celebration of romance and passion, will also feature three mini-games that support both single-player and co-op mode. These new games are Bullseye Balloons, Floral Freefall, and Ballads of Breeze.
There will be four difficulty levels for each game, and players will earn rewards and Festive Tour Tickets for participating. These tickets can be exchanged in the Event Shop for Talent Level-Up Materials and two new exclusive gadgets - the Windblume Festival Commemorative Balloon and the Windsong Lyre.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/03/05/genshin-impact-hu-tao-breakdown"]
The Peculiar Wonderland will also be available and offers a series of harder challenges that has players facing off against three random challenge scenarios. By completing this activity, players will recieve Peculiar Collab Coupons that can be exchanged for Weapon Ascension Materials and a brand-new 4-star bow, the Windblume Ode.
There will also be a new 4-star playable character named Rosaria "Thorny Benevolence." Rosaria is "a sister of the Church of Favonius who players may have already encountered during their adventures with Albedo in Dragonspine. Bearing a Cryo Vision, Rosaria is a powerful polearm wielder with an Elemental Skill that allows her to instantly shift behind her enemy, piercing and slashing them to deal Cryo damage. Her Elemental Burst allows her to attack with a mighty slash, causing massive Cryo damage and summoning a frigid Ice Lance that deals continuous Cryo damage to nearby enemies."
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/02/03/genshin-impact-collected-miscellany-xiao-conqueror-of-demons-trailer"]
Lastly, this new update will increase the Original Resin limit from 120 to 160, and will allow Travelers to hold up to five Condensed Resin in their inventory. Travelers will also have the option to lower their World Level to "better suit their needs in single-player and co-op mode."

Watch Dogs Legion Online Co-Op Delayed on PC
Watch Dogs Legion's online co-op mode was set to launch on all platforms on March 9, 2021, but PC players will have to wait a bit longer due to a game crashing issue that has caused a new delay.
Ubisoft shared the news on Twitter, saying that the PC version of this new mode can cause the game to crash for players with certain GPUs. The team is working on the fix "as quickly as possible" and will communicate the new date as soon as it can.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/02/22/watch-dogs-legion-online-co-op-preview"]
While online co-op will still launch for PlayStation, Xbox, and Stadia on March 9, the raid-like Tactical Operations will now be released on March 23, 2021.
Additionally, PS5 and PS4 players will have to deal with "limited in-game text chat" until March 23.
We recently got to preview Watch Dogs Legion's online co-op modes, and said "The co-op missions remind me a lot of Assassin’s Creed Unity’s approach to friendly multiplayer, in that they are effectively identical to the fare you find in the main campaign, just redesigned with more participants in mind."
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/02/22/watch-dogs-legion-online-co-op-preview"]
In our Watch Dogs Legion review, we said its "bold use of roguelike mechanics in an open-world action game pays off in interesting ways, making this visit to near-future London feel more varied than the previous two games."

Stranger Things Creators, Steven Spielberg Adapting Stephen King’s Talisman for Netflix
The creators of Stranger Things have found their next project for Netflix.
The Duffer Brothers are collaborating with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television and Paramount Television Studios to adapt Stephen King's The Talisman for the streaming platform, per The Hollywood Reporter. Curtis Gwinn, a writer and executive producer on Stranger Things, will serve as showrunner on the project.
The Talisman was written by Stephen King and Peter Straub. The fantasy novel follows a teenage boy named Jack Sawyer searching for the Talisman, an object that can heal his dying mother and save the world. Sawyer journeys across America and "the Territories," a grim parallel world to our own.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/07/06/what-will-happen-in-stranger-things-season-4"]
Spielberg purchased the screen rights for The Talisman in 1982, 2 years before the book was even published. In 2019, Mike Barker, a frequent director on The Handmaid's Tale, was involved in adapting the work into a feature.
The Duffer Brothers are currently busy working on Season 4 of Stranger Things, which is expected to premiere later this year. The series has expanded its cast for the next season, nabbing actors like A Nightmare on Elm Street's Robert Englund and Game of Thrones' Tom Wlaschiha.

The Talisman marks the next project in a line of recent Stephen King adaptations from Hollywood, including the Doctor Sleep, the It films, HBO's The Outsider and Hulu's Castle Rock. In 2017, Netflix released two King adaptations, Gerald's Game and 1922.

Xbox Is Working to Resolve Unresponsive Controller Button Issue
According to reports online, some players are experiencing unresponsive buttons on their Xbox Series X|S controllers, and Microsoft is already looking to fix this issue.
As reported by sites like PC Gamer, some players have experienced an issue where pressing a button on the Xbox controller will not result in an action. This issue appears to affect players using the Xbox controller on both consoles and PC, apparently.
Microsoft has issued a statement to IGN saying it is investigating the issue and working on a fix. Check out the full statement below:
“At Microsoft, we put all of our products through rigorous quality assurance testing and are committed to providing customers with an unparalleled gaming experience. We are aware some players may be experiencing unresponsiveness with their new Xbox Wireless Controllers and our teams are actively working on a solution. For the best experience, we encourage customers to visit Xbox Support for assistance.”Users are starting to share their experiences with faulty controllers online. One player tells The Loadout that the "Y" button is the one primarily malfunctioning for them. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=confirmed-xbox-series-x-games&captions=true"] It's unclear what the cause of the issue is, and until Microsoft announces an official fix, it's hard to say what temporary fixes are available to players. The Xbox controller is the latest console hardware to face issues. The Nintendo Switch has a long recorded history of faulty Joy-Cons, with issues ranging from disconnecting controllers to drift - where the reticle will begin to move on its own without player input. More recently the PlayStation 5 DualSense has also been found to experience cases of drift. You can check out everything we know about DualSense drift here. [poilib element="accentDivider"] Matt T.M.
