Fall Guys Getting Among Us Costumes With Mysterious, ‘Unique’ Features

Fall Guys has announced an Among Us crossover, and developer Mediatonic teased to IGN that some new Among Us costumes will have "something unique" about them, adding that the mention of an Impostor in a new trailer could be considered a warning to players. Included at the end of a new trailer was the reveal of a red Among Us-themed spacesuit costume (complete with a fried egg hat), and the warning that 1 Impostor Remained – text that will be very familiar to Among Us players. Developer Mediatonic tells IGN that the red costume will be available on Day 1 of Season 4, and will be a part of the season's Fame Path rather than bought with Crowns – the bottom half at rank 21, and the top half at rank 26. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/03/15/fall-guys-season-4-official-trailer"] However, the developer also teased to us that this wasn't the only Among Us costume, and that they'll come with secrets and quirks for players to discover when they arrive. Coupled with the tease that the Impostor warning could be more than a trailer joke, and it raises the idea that the costumes will add Among Us-themed features. Perhaps players could be given extra tasks, perhaps to eliminate others in their games? Fall Guys costumes have always been strictly cosmetic, so any extras will likely not affect the games themselves, so it'll be interesting to see what Mediatonic and Innersloth have up their sleeves. Fall Guys and Among Us are a natural fit, with both games emerging last year as major gaming phenomena. Other Fall Guys crossovers have included Doom, Cuphead, Godzilla, and more. Check out our Fall Guys wiki for tips on how to claim those crowns. [poilib element="accentDivider"] Joe Skrebels is IGN's Executive Editor of News. Follow him on Twitter. Have a tip for us? Nintendo Reportedly Expecting Another Record Year for Software, With a Series of Major Games

Nintendo is reportedly expecting to ship 250 million units of software in its next fiscal year – comfortably beating its existing all-time records – thanks to a line-up of (mostly unconfirmed) blockbuster games. Per anonymous sources of Bloomberg, Nintendo has briefed some partners and suppliers on its expectations for April 2021 to March 2022, and set expectations of shipping 250 million games. That huge number is seemingly driven by what Bloomberg calls "a series of marquee game releases", and what analyst Serkan Toto calls "a much stronger blockbuster software lineup and new hardware". Nintendo is already forecasting a record year for sales in its current financial year (ending March 2021), expecting to see 205 million shipped units. Its previous best year came in financial year 2008, when the huge popularity of the Wii saw 204.6 million units shipped. Financial year 2020 was unexpectedly huge for Nintendo, with the upswing in gaming due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the enormous success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, propelling the company to its current success. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/new-nintendo-switch-with-bigger-screen-4k-output-on-the-way-ign-news"] 250 million units is a frankly enormous increase on that new record and, if legitimate, represents huge confidence from Nintendo in its upcoming games. New Pokemon Snap, Mario Golf: Super Rush, and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will all drop in that period, which could represent high-sellers, and a large proportion of Monster Hunter Rise's sales will also likely come in the next financial year. We could also reasonably expect the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl in that window. Looking further, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4 and Splatoon 3 could also drop in that period. However, none of the above includes follow-ups to Switch's biggest three games so far – Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. While we can expect some additions to Nintendo's line-up of games, these mooted numbers could point to some major unannounced games coming down the line. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=all-2021-games-with-confirmed-release-dates&captions=true"] The company also seemingly expects to see further growth in its console space after Switch saw incredible sale success across the world in 2020, and an apparent planned new model of Switch, with a larger, OLED screen could help keep that momentum up. Back catalog games sales for new Switch owners could help push the company towards that 250 million unit goal. Nintendo hasn't officially commented on the 250 million unit figure, and we likely won't hear mention of that until the company's next financial briefing on May 6. The company's games line-up was most recently added to in February's Nintendo Direct – here's everything announced in that show. Elon Musk Has Officially Retitled Himself as ‘Technoking’ of Tesla

Elon Musk has formally given himself the title of 'Technoking' at Tesla, with his Chief Financial Officer becoming the 'Master of Coin'. In a formal SEC filing, Tesla wrote: "Effective as of March 15, 2021, the titles of Elon Musk and Zach Kirkhorn have changed to Technoking of Tesla and Master of Coin, respectively." The two executives will also retain their original CEO and CFO positions and titles alongside the... more unusual new dubbings. No reasoning has been given for the title changes, and Musk hasn't yet commented on them. Musk's done a lot to tell us that he's not a traditional CEO in recent years, so it makes sense that he'd give himself a whole new title, too. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/10/31/elon-musk-donates-1-million-to-youtubers-charity"] While Technoking is a pretty unique title, Master of Coin comes with some extremely Game of Thrones-y connotations. If I were Zach Kirkhorn, I'd maybe do some research into Peter Baelish, Tyrion Lannister, and Mace Tyrell, to work out what not to do. Tesla recently announced that its newest cars would come with 10-teraflop gaming PCs built in, capable of playing The Witcher 3. Recently, Musk declared that his Neuralink company was looking into how to put a brain implant into a monkey that would allow it to play 'mind Pong'. The Falcon and Winter Soldier Season 2 Isn’t in the Works, But ‘There’s Certainly Ideas’

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has indicated that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Season 2 hasn't been completely ruled out, even though there isn't anything officially in the works yet. According to ComicBook.com, Feige attended a virtual press conference for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where he was asked whether the studio had any plans for a potential second season of the upcoming MCU miniseries. While he didn't confirm whether Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes' adventure would expand beyond the six-episode Disney+ series, he did say that "there's certainly ideas." [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2021/03/15/the-falcon-and-the-winter-soldier-final-official-trailer"] However, Feige also highlighted that the studio adopted the same approach for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier as they would with the movies by focusing on the narrative for one season, rather than how it could potentially develop into additional seasons. He also noted that storylines would continue to "go back and forth" between the Marvel Disney+ series' and movies. "It's a funny question and it's one that we obviously get asked much more in television because people expect it to be like what people know before," Feige said. "We really did approach it like we do the movies... if we were able to do another one, there's certainly ideas. The slight difference of course... like with WandaVision, they really will go back and forth between the Disney+ series and the movies... sometimes will be a Season 2, sometimes will be a feature." In a 'passing the torch' moment, Steve Rogers bestowed his shield upon Wilson at the end of Avengers: Endgame, trusting him to carry on the legacy of Captain America. Feige previously noted how the long-form format of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier would allow the story to evolve and dig deeper into Wilson's background and personality, as well as his decision in regards to taking up the mantle. "He's a man, and he's an African American man," Feige said, emphasizing that he's not a thunder god or king. "He's got experience in the military, he's got experience doing grief counseling with soldiers with PTSD. That's how Steve Rogers initially developed this friendship with him. What's so great about the move to Disney Plus long form is that we get to see much more of these characters." [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=marvels-the-falcon-and-the-winter-soldier-character-posters&captions=true"] To revisit the journeys of these characters before The Falcon and The Winter Soldier premieres on March 19, you might want to tune into Marvel Studios' Legends series. The individual Falcon and Winter Soldier character episodes debuted on Friday, March 5, while the Sharon Carter and Zemo episodes dropped last Friday, March 12, offering fans a short refresher before the next big MCU show arrives. What's so great about the move to Disney Plus long form is that we get to see much more of these characters."
