The Far From Home Trailer Scenes That Aren’t in the Movie

Warning: Spoilers for Spider-Man: Far From Home follow...

Now that we've all seen Far From Home (Right? Or else you wouldn't be reading this piece?), it's clear that a handful of scenes from the "I Wanna Be Sedated" teaser, and the regular trailers, managed to thwip away, making movie-goers wonder, among other things, "Where was the scene featuring Spidey wise-cracking with the local cops?"

Yes, a montage of fun activities from the first act got left on the webbing-room floor, including the scene featuring Spidey handily dismantling a crew of crooks in a restaurant. So what's the deal? Why did all of this get dropped from the final cut? Well, as director John Watts told ComicBookMovie.com, those pre-trip scenes will "be its own little short film that we're going to put on the Blu-ray. There are some good deleted scenes."

San Diego Comic-Con begins in full tomorrow, with "Preview Night" happening for a few hours this evening. But in advance of that, IGN was invited to participate in a preview of Preview Night where we were given a tour of a handful of the biggest booths on the show floor, from LEGO to Cartoon Network to Dark Horse and more.

Check out the gallery below for huge LEGO figures, various exclusives, a recreation of the Krusty Krab, Witcher action figures, and much more. The show floor was still under construction during this tour, so don't mind the work-in-progress state of some of the booths. Don't worry -- they'll have everything in order by tonight!

How the New Switch’s Battery Life Compares to Other Handhelds

Earlier today Nintendo announced a new Switch model with an extended battery life. The new model, which builds off the original Switch rather than the recently announced Switch Lite, increases the console's battery life from 2.5-6.5 hours to 4.5-9.

While this is a fairly significant jump, we were curious to see how the Switch's new battery life compares to that of other handhelds, so we collected the official numbers from Nintendo and Sony and compiled them in the gallery below. Click through (or scroll down) to see how the new Switch model compares.

The Expanse Season 4: First Look Character Images and Poster

The Expanse has gone through a tumultuous journey over the past year. Last May, Syfy canceled The Expanse after three seasons, which sparked an outcry from fans, some of whom rented a plane to fly over Amazon's offices in Los Angeles, begging the streaming giant to save their beloved franchise. Thankfully, Amazon boss Jeff Bezos is also a fan, and less than a month after its initial cancelation, The Expanse was back in production on Prime Video.

Mario Kart Needs to Learn From Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled’s Grand Prix Mode

I can’t stop playing Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and I don’t intend to anytime soon. It’s no surprise that the kart racer is a great Crash Team Racing remake, and as a longtime Crash fan I expected to put in plenty of hours on Crash Cove. But the remake’s developers, Beenox, have added such a smart additional feature post-launch — the Grand Prix — that is the primary reason for my addiction. And it’s something that CTR’s kart racing competition, namely, Mario Kart, needs to steal, stat.

Warlander Preview: The Lightsaber(-ish) Game Where You CAN Dismember People

Warlander, in developer Clock Drive Games’ own words, is inspired by the Jedi Knight series and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. During my 20-minute demo, what made those aforementioned games special shined through, and I couldn’t get enough of the Lightsaber-like combat that had me chopping limbs and heads off any monster that stood in my path.

Warlander stars a resurrected hero named Bruce who wields a sentient sword that very much invokes the feel of that elegant weapon for a more civilized age. The weight behind each swing is heavy and packs a ton of force and, unlike for the majority of enemies in the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a successful strike will dismember limbs, heads, legs, and any other unfortunate body part that falls victim to Bruce’s wrath.
