Netflix Acquires Zac Efron’s Ted Bundy Movie

Netflix is officially getting rights to the Ted Bundy film starring Zac Efron – Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, reported by THR.

After a bidding war with STX and Lionsgate during the end of Sundance Film Festival, the deal reportedly came in at $9 million, and will include U.S. rights and some international territories.

Netflix acquiring the rights was not much of a shock, as the director, Oscar-nominated Joe Berlinger, already has the docuseries about Ted Bundy on the streaming platform – Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes.
