Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Delayed to April

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life has been delayed.

The news came in a tweet by the Yakuza Game account, which posted a statement announcing the new release date of April 17. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life was previously slated to launch on March 20. The delay will give the studio "more time to line things up for launch," and was described as a "tough business decision" the studio "didn't make lightly."

Before then, players will be able to go hands-on with Yakuza 6: The Song of Life on February 27, when a demo will be made available. The save data can be transferred over to the full version at launch.

IGN UK Podcast #420: P.T. Anderson’s Big Monster Hunt

This week we've got Paul Thomas Anderson on the brain after watching two of his films in a week, not to mention a chat about the 10/10 reviewed Celeste, Cardy's newly-named Roverwatch, and the tensest Keyword Countdown all year (probably).

Joe's also been away hunting real-life monsters in Devon, and made an entire half-hour radio documentary about the experience - wait until the end of the podcast for that.

This Is How Han Solo and Chewbacca Originally Met

Solo: A Star Wars Story will give a brand new backstory to the iconic smuggler turned rebel, one that will no doubt depart from the Expanded Universe/Legends origin that is no longer considered canon. But with Solo now hitting theaters, let's take a look back at that original origin to get a sense of how much it is being changed for the new canon.

The Lucasfilm story group has very intentionally left Han’s backstory in the new canon (created in the wake of Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm) a relative mystery, giving the movie a blank slate on which to work. In contrast, however, the previous EU timeline spent dozens of novels, comics, and games fleshing out just about every little detail about his past. And while very little of this has remained in the new canon, it’s clear that at least a few important details are likely to survive the transition to film.
