Marvel’s Secret Wars: Ms. Marvel vs. the Giant Frog

Beginning Friday, June 2nd, and lasting through June 7th, Disney XD will present a series of six shorts featuring the newest members of the Avengers, as seen in the new season of the animated series – including Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, Ant-Man, Wasp, and Vision – in flashback sequences that introduce the powers for each of the new team members.

The shorts can be seen on Disney XD, the Disney XD App, Disney XD YouTube, and VOD, but IGN's got the exclusive debut of one of the shorts right now. Check out how Ms. Marvel (voiced by Kathreen Khavari) tries to navigate her normal day to day life -- high school, homework, battling mega-toads, etc. -- while also becoming one of the newest members of the Avengers!

Middle-earth: Shadow of War Release Date Delayed

Middle-earth: Shadow of War has been delayed from its originally planned August release date, developer Monolith Productions has announced.

According to a post from developer Monolith Productions' community manager on behalf of the game's development team, Shadow of War will now be released worldwide on October 10. A different release date will be announced for certain territories, including Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, according to the post.

 

When Warner Bros. first unveiled the Shadow of Mordor sequel earlier this year, the game had an August 22 release date for North America and August 25 in Europe.

August is approaching, which can only mean one thing: a new Madden game is heading our way. Like clockwork, this series has been churning out yearly installments since the 1980s, each one with refreshed rosters, tweaked gameplay, and a few new ideas thrown into the fold.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will grace the cover of Madden NFL 18. And in a first for the series, the game will run on the Frostbite engine, which is known for powering graphical powerhouses like Battlefield 1 and Fifa 17. Reportedly, Frostbite will provide a significant visual jump over previous installments. We’ll find out for sure when the game launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 25, 2017.

Legendary Pokemon, PvP Coming Soon to Pokemon Go

Player-versus-player (PvP) and Legendary Pokemon are coming to Pokemon Go later this year.

In an interview with Brazilian newspaper O Globo (translation via Reddit), Niantic's VP of strategic partnerships, Mathieu de Fayet, announced that competitive play was just one of the things developer Niantic plans to launch soon to keep its 65 million active players hooked to the augmented reality game.

Comic Book Reviews for May 31, 2017

It was another big week of comics, as Marvel delivered a new issue of Secret Empire and several key tie-ins, while also launching Cable's new solo series and wrapping up Jeff Lemire's Old Man Logan run. DC released several new annual issues and began a major new storyline for The Flash. Elsewhere, BOOM! Studios published one of their strongest Power Rangers comics yet, while Image released a dirt-cheap and new reader-friendly issue of Saga.

Skullgirls Dev’s New RPG Indivisible Coming to Nintendo Switch

Indivisible, the side-scrolling action RPG from developer Lab Zero Games, is making its way onto Nintendo Switch.

Already announced for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam, bringing Indivisible to Switch was "an easy decision," according to Lab Zero Games CEO Peter Bartholow.

"Platformers and RPGs are great on the couch or on the go, making our game a great fit" for the Switch, Bartholow said.

Indivisible hit its crowdfunding goal at the end of 2015, reaching $1.6 million USD and making it the highest grossing gaming project on Indiegogo at the time.

Akira Creator’s ‘One Major Condition’ for Live-Action Movie

Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator of the Akira manga and director of the iconic 1988 anime film, has revealed his "one major condition" for a live-action movie adaptation.

"I did give one major condition to a live-action version and that is that I had to check and approve the scenario," Otomo said in an interview with Forbes.

Otomo noted that he has not yet seen the Paramount's recently released live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell— which original anime director Mamoru Oshii said he has no problem with—but said he's "mostly okay" with someone taking Akira in a new direction.

Project CARS 2’s Porsche Lineup Revealed

Developer Slightly Mad Studios has published a new video featuring Porsche factory driver Patrick Long explaining his role in helping the team hone the handling of the Porsche models included in the game.

“My involvement with Project CARS came from a very pure driver-engineer relationship, working with them on tuning Porsche’s products to relate back to the user in the crispest and most authentic way,” says Long in the video, which showcases the Porsches players can expect to see in Project CARS 2 when the game launches later this year.

The cars include the Porsche 936 (which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times), the incredibly dominant Porsche 935, the latest Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and several more.
