Wrestling: Let’s Forget About WWE’s World Titles for a While
Let's kick things off with a brief SmackDown layeth-the-smacketh-down note and get them hashtag "Thank You Jericho"s up and rolling.
After defeating Owens at Payback, Jericho got swapped over to SmackDown so that he could lose the belt back, get taken out by a brutal post-match attack, and head out back on the rock n' road to Fozz it up.
He's gone for now. He'll probably be back, at some point, but I feel like this was his last great run with WWE. He got to feud with Styles and Ambrose and Reigns and Owens - getting two big Mania matches out of his wonderful mid-card run. He even got the U.S. belt twice. He killed a plant, lost a jacket, gained a scarf, added a List, gained a best friend, lost a best friend (while participating in one of the most memorable segments in recent history) and left at the top of his game.
Handmaid’s Tale Is Hulu’s Most Watched Premiere Ever
The Handmaid's Tale broke a Hulu record, with more people watching the series premiere than any other one available on the streaming service.
That includes original and acquired shows, Hulu noted in an official announcement. The streaming company has acquired many ongoing and complete series, including Please Like Me and Seinfeld, respectively.
“The response we’ve seen to The Handmaid’s Tale in just one week since its premiere has been absolutely incredible," said Hulu senior vice president and head of content Craig Erwich. "... We can’t wait to explore the world of Gilead and continue Margaret
’s vision with another season on Hulu."
The Handmaid's Tale just received a second season renewal by Hulu. We here at IGN have also reached out to the company for additional details on the show's viewership so far.
The Flashpoint Timeline Returns in Batman #22
Batman and Flash's Watchmen investigation led them into the alternate history that is Flashpoint this week.

Having ventured into the Speed Force in The Flash #21, Bruce and Barry emerged on the other wside into a world that shouldn't exist any longer. It seems that Doctor Manhattan (or whomever has been manipulating the DCU lately) has kept the Flashpoint timeline alive even after Barry repaired the damage he caused to the timestream. Since readers last saw the world of Flashpoint, Aquaman and Wonder Woman have put aside their differences in order to finally eliminate Thomas Wayne.
PlayStation E3 Press Conference Date and Time Announced
The PlayStation E3 2017 press conference date and time has been revealed by Sony, and it falls during the company's usual E3 showcase time.
PlayStation's E3 Media Showcase will be held on Monday, June 12 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET/June 13 at 2 a.m. BST/June 13 at 11 a.m. AEST. The conference will be held in The Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California.
No other information about what will be shown at the conference was included in an invitation to the showcase.
E3 2017's lineup of press conferences is slightly different from last year's schedule — while Microsoft and Sony usually held their showcases on the same day, Microsoft will now host its E3 press conference on Sunday, June 11, sharing the day with Bethesda's E3 showcase. Meanwhile, the EA Play showcase, an E3-adjacent conference, will be held on Saturday, June 10.

Netflix dropped the trailer for Marvel's The Defenders this morning, showing of the series' main characters, including the legendary Sigourney Weaver as Alexandra.

We know of 6 confirmed Marvel characters appearing in Marvel's The Defenders, but that doesn't mean there won't be more surprises in store.
The Defenders hits Netflix on August 18. That gives Netflix and Marvel plenty of time to tease cameos and surprise characters, if there are any.
The Dark Tower Trailer Breakdown
The first trailer for the long-awaited adaptation of The Dark Tower has been released, giving fans of the Stephen King book series a new look at Roland Deschain, the Man in Black, Jake, and the Tower itself.
With this official footage debut, IGN has decided to take a deeper look at the biggest moments from the trailer, including allusions to the books, references to other Stephen King works, and more.

Paladins Is Now Available on PS4 and Xbox One
Paladins: Champions of the Realm is now free to play on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as Hi-Rez Studios has launched a Console Open Beta for the team-based shooter.
The beta allows PS4 and Xbox One players to battle across four different game modes free of charge. To celebrate its launch, Hi-Rez Studios has released a new cinematic trailer, which you can check out below:
"After welcoming more than 8.5 million PC players to Paladins, we are excited to bring console players into the Realm," Hi-Rez Studios COO Todd Harris said.
Paladins: Champions of the Realm features 24 playable Champions, along with loads of customization. Each Champion can be adjusted to specialize in different offensive or defensive abilities. An assortment of different cosmetic items are available for further customization as well.
What Savitar’s Identity Means for The Flash’s Future

Finally the identity of Savitar has been revealed on The Flash and -- surprise, surprise -- it was Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) all along. Not the Barry you see week-in and week-out, though. Instead this is Barry from at some point in the future when he's gone completely evil, has a bad attitude and a burn on his face to match.
To be completely honest, the idea that a future version of Barry is the evil speed god Savitar seems a little far-fetched, even for this show. That said, it's about time The Flash embraces the true villainy of its leading hero.
