The Division: Jake Gyllenhaal to Star in Ubisoft Movie

Ubisoft's super-successful video game Tom Clancy's The Division is getting a film adaptation, and Jake Gyllenhaal is attached to star.

Sources have told Variety that Gyllenhaal will also produce the film. The project does not yet have a writer, and  the studio is currently seeking someone to pen the script.

Captain Marvel: Oscar Winner Brie Larson in Talks to Star

Academy Award winner Brie Larson (Room, 21 Jump Street) is reportedly in "early talks" to play the title role in Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel.

"It is unknown where things stand in negotiations but sources have told Variety she is the choice and Larson is leaning towards playing the part," according to Variety.

The trade says Marvel Studios has wanted to cast Captain Marvel before securing a director for that film in order to introduce the character, aka Carol Danvers, in an upcoming Marvel movie.

Rocket League Passes $110 Million in Sales

In less than a year since its initial launch on PC and PlayStation 4, extreme vehicular sports game Rocket League has passed over $110 million in sales. That's over 5 million copies of Rocket League on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Rocket League launched as a free download for PlayStation Plus members on PS4 last July, making the numbers especially impressive.

"Thanks to PlayStation Plus at launch, those numbers are really front-loaded in the beginning," said Psyonix vice president Jeremy Dunham in an interview with Forbes.

Mafia 3 Collector’s Edition Detailed

Ahead of Mafia III's release this October, 2K and Hanger 13 have detailed the contents of the game's upcoming Collector’s Edition.

The $150 Collector's Edition includes two 180-gram vinyls, the first of which—dubbed the "Official Soundtrack of New Bordeaux"—features an assortment of greatest hits from the 1960s, including music from Otis Redding & Carla Thomas, Sam Cooke and The Animals. The second vinyl includes Mafia III's original game score, composed by Jesse Harlin and Jim Bonney.

Play Real Stern Pinball Tables in Virtual Reality

Pinball aficionados can now enjoy some of Stern Pinball's tables in virtual reality. The Pinball Arcade, already on PC, mobile, and consoles, is now available on Oculus Rift.

The game is free to download and comes with Mary Shelley's Frankenstein table. There are 3 other tables available for download: Star Trek, for $10, Ripley's Believe It Or Not for $5, and Starship Troopers, also available for $5.

Stern Pinball CEO Gary Stern calls the VR version of The Pinball Arcade "a new, fun spin on our much beloved pinball games."

"We’re always looking for creative new ways to provide pinball experiences for current players and future generations," he said.

Stern Pinball  is the oldest "and largest" maker of pinball machines in the world. The company has built Ghostbusters pinball machines, a Walking Dead pinball table, and tables from many other big-name licenses.

No Transformers-TMNT Crossover Until Stories ‘Played Out’

Those hoping for a film that blends the Ninja Turtles and Transformers universes will likely be waiting for quite a while, as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows producer Brad Fuller has made it clear a crossover project won't be coming anytime soon.

In an interview with Screenrant, Fuller said there are still plenty of stories within the TMNT universe he'd like to explore before mixing it with another franchise. "It feels to me like we need to do a lot more work before we get to that stage," he explained.

"I don’t know why we would start doing a crossover until it felt like the storylines had been played out in the Turtle world," he added, noting that they're "not even close" to covering all of the "amazing stories" crafted by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. As such, Fuller doesn't see the need for a crossover right now.
