Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Land Series Hit Virtual Console

More than 50% of this week's new releases are Donkey Kong games, thanks to Nintendo of America finally releasing Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and 3 on Wii U Virtual Console and Donkey Kong Land 1, 2, and 3 on 3DS Virtual Console. With the launch of all three DKC games, our long national nightmare is over, as the trilogy were removed from the Wii Virtual Console two years ago. Now, all is right with the ape world as six Donkey Kong games from the '90s are now on Wii U and 3DS. Also, Ironfall Invasion, the interesting third-person shooter that takes advantage of the New 3DS, is out in America this week. It has a free demo that might be worth checking out.

Report: A New Hearthstone Adventure Could be Coming

Some data mining done on a patch for Build 8036 for Hearthstone: Heroes of WarCraft may have leaked some new forthcoming content.

The alleged information recovered points to an achievement called "brm presale," as well as three card backs for Ragnaros, Molten Core, and Golden Celebration. Hearthstone fansite Hearthhead speculates this could point to a possible upcoming Blackrock Mountain adventure, and posits that the Golden Celebration card backs could be used to celebrate Hearthstone's 1-year anniversary.

Blizzard has not confirmed or even announced anything about a Blackrock Mountain-themed adventure, although another reported leak has claimed that the next expansion for Hearthstone could release in April. Whether or not these two are connected remains unkown. IGN has reached out to Blizzard for comment.

New Crucible Multiplayer Mode Coming to Destiny

In its weekly update today, Bungie revealed a new type of Crucible game mode coming March 3.

Called "Inferno" playlists, senior designer Leif Johansen revealed that the first mode will be Inferno Control. Johansen said that it will be an experience "that’s more about basic gunplay," and achieving "more with less."

He goes on to explain what he describes as the most important change being made for the new mode: the removal of the tracker.

"We’re hoping this change will provoke players to rely even more on certain skills," he said, skills like map knowledge, teamwork, positioning, flanking maneuvers, setting ambushes, paying closer attention to audio cues, and "using friendly nameplate UI as clues toward enemy position."
