Do Marvel and DC Have a Commitment Problem?
The DC You relaunch has been a huge creative boon for the publisher over the last few months. There's more variety in the types of comics they publish and a greater willingness to push iconic characters like Batman and Superman in new directions. Unfortunately, not all of these new series and new story directions have paid off financially. That fact was made clear when DC announced the cancellation of six series last month, including critical darlings like The Omega Men and Green Lantern: The Lost Army. While there was a silver lining in that DC quickly reversed their decision for The Omega Men, this situation highlights the fact that the Big Two often aren't giving new projects the push they deserve. They have a responsibility to do more to help their new comics grow and build an audience.
Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Star Wars Rebels Role Revealed
Sarah Michelle Gellar has revealed that she will be playing the character called the Seventh Sister on Star Wars Rebels.
In a video that was posted on Buzzfeed, Gellar stated that she would be playing the villainous Inquisitor, who will be introduced in Season 2 of the animated series.

The Flash: What to Expect From Zoom, Jay Garrick and More
Following a tremendously well received first season, The Flash is back on Tuesday for Season 2. Per usual for this series, a key element is that things move fast, both where the main character is concerned and in plotting, and Season 2 will be introducing a ton of new elements from the comic books.
I sat down with The Flash’s showrunner, executive producer Gabrielle Stanton, to talk about what’s to come in Season 2, including Jay Garrick, Zoom, Wally West, Earth 2 and more.
IGN: You’re bringing in Jay Garrick. How will Barry react to someone who is a counterpart in such a way?
Gabrielle Stanton: We definitely have a spin on him. He’s going to be, kind of in that classic Jay Garrick way, a little bit older. He’s a little bit more of the Flash that you expected from the comic book. Our Barry is a young Barry, a little bit geekier. He’s going to kind of play mentor a little bit to Barry this season. He’s going to have seen a little bit more, done a little bit more and as Barry is understanding his powers and what he can do, Jay’s going to be there to mentor him and teach him the next steps toward becoming an even better Flash.
Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom Announced
SEGA has announced Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom will soon be released on iOS and Android devices for free.
Though no official launch date was revealed, the endless runner follow-up to Sonic Dash has already launched in a few countries a few months ago. The original title has been downloaded over 140 million times.

Strike Back May Continue as a Movie
Left Bank Pictures is reportedly developing a feature film based on the TV series Strike Back.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the London-based production company has secured a deal with Sky, who aired the series in the UK, to make the film. Producers are currently trying to partner with the show's US network, Cinemax, too but no deal has been made yet. Sky and Cinemax partnered to produce Strike Back as a TV series.

NBA 2K16 Sales Figures Revealed
2K Games has announced it's sold-in over 4 million copies of NBA 2K16 within the first week of the game's release.
It's important to note this doesn't mean 4 million copies of the game are now in the hands of players - instead it indicates how many copies have been picked up by retailers.
While this doesn't provide quite the indication of the series' popularity as it could do, it's still an incredibly impressive achievement, and is the shortest space of time in which an entry in the series has managed to hit such a large milestone. NBA 2K16 also saw digital sales double compared with last year.
The IGN review of NBA 2K16 thought it was amazing, finding that it was a leap forward in defensive AI, online stability, and overall polish, resulting in one of the most complete packages we've ever seen.
